After a bit of playtesting using DoesntKnowHowToPlay's Physical/Special Split script, I realized that Explosion/Self Destruct do not take into account halving the opponent's Defense when calculating damage. This results in them dealing damage as though they were 250 or 200 base power Normal...
Am I doing something wrong? Whether I edit my hack, or vanilla Fire Red, I get a Bad Egg when I try to use the Magma Armour / Flame Body snippet.
For this bit:
