Red hack: Shin Pokemon Red/Blue/Green/JP builds (Bugfix, AI, and QoL patch)

While a nice idea, the internal debate circle never agreed with the notion that the Seafoam Islands should be an ice cavern. While it may have been an early idea, ultimately this location is based on Enoshima and specifically the Iwaya Caves. These are ocean-worn caves that remain a few degrees...

Red hack: Shin Pokemon Red/Blue/Green/JP builds (Bugfix, AI, and QoL patch)

Had to quickly release v1.24.5 to hotfix a couple things. Minor text edit for SS Anne npc in post-game. Minor fix for Itemfinder when there are multiple hidden items on screen. Fix Psywave symmetry That last bullet was kind of a problem since it would make psywave desync again unless fixed.

I think you mean Porygon in the power plant. It's supposed to be a bit of a secret alternative to getting the 9999 coins required in red version. See the attachment on this post. It depends. Translating into something like Greek or Russian requires making all-new tiles for those alphabets...

Red hack: Shin Pokemon Red/Blue/Green/JP builds (Bugfix, AI, and QoL patch)

Glad you're enjoying it. The "shimmer" is explained in the Guide to New Player Functions. It started as a sample experiment for adding a transformation-like affect, and it was left in as a cheat feature to buff pokemon that aren't very good in general. The shimmer factor is written to a...

Red hack: Shin Pokemon Red/Blue/Green/JP builds (Bugfix, AI, and QoL patch)

This was a bug with regards to static damaging moves. It was fixed in v1.24.1. The current version is 1.24.2. Static damaging moves should only be ineffective against types with immunity. So Night Shade should not affect normal types, and Seismic Toss should not affect ghost types. It seems...

Red hack: Shin Pokemon Red/Blue/Green/JP builds (Bugfix, AI, and QoL patch)

If your first encounter in an area is a pokemon registered as "owned" you can KO or run from that pokemon. The next encounter will be catch-able. Here is an example from a recent stream using v1.24.0. Please make a bug report on the github if you are experience issues.

    Safari Zones

Gen 1 Safari Zone has only three things that really drag it down. The first is that the way rock and bait work are bugged to the extent that the mathematically best strategy is to ignore them and throw balls. The second is that the Safari Balls are bugged too; they are supposed to have the ball...
