is hmo01 fury cutter? cuz one of my pokemon has that ability...roxanne? isnt that the name of the stone badge gym chick?

im playing the actual game not the rom...and yes i beat her...what ability is hmo1 again?

i did use hm01 on one of my pokemon already..and i have him with me too...i tried putting him first too but no difference

ok this might be a stupid question but ive read faqs and it said after you beat roxanne (stone badge gym) you are able to cut certain plants down with hmo1...but when i go to a tree all it says is "this tree looks like it can be cut down" help? thanks!
