  • lol tht's wierd, fine ill just make a hotmail fro ya but give me ur account so i can add ya right away
Very well then, mine is [email protected]

Shall we go on now, if is of no problem to you. Or shall we arrange a meeting time. I am available any time, save for the morning (Eastern US and Canada time) If you do want to arrange a meeting time, tell me your time zone, or convert the time to my own if you want to, as well.
Okay, we have to get a final draft of a story in in three days now. (I'm am not sure what time exactly it is where you are, and am to lazy to look, so I mean May 16th is the deadline. Pretty sure it couldn't be a whole day more or less where you are though, not right now at least.) I think it would be better if we could turn in something we agree on, although it is doubtful that we will be able not only to be in complete agreement on a premise alone, let alone go through a rough and final draft in the time we have, but in the end I think it would be preferable. Otherwise, we would have to have a vote between our two stories. Now, considering how I have a huge tendency to make my stories over complicated and/or too fantasy-like, I think it would be fairly certain that you would win. Either way, we are going to have to end up working on a story together, as I highly doubt that either of us could formulate a seamless final draft of a story that is ready to be mapped and scripted right away in the time we have. Not that I doubt you as a writer, it's just that I doubt that no matter how good or bad either of our drafts turn out, I think there is defiantly going to be some hole or question we missed. Once again, no offense meant towards you.

But now, I will be blunt. Once again, I try to do this in the nicest, but also most constructive (even though I rarely give constructive criticism to anybody, no matter how hard I try I just seem to be a pretty mean person.) and clear way as I can. I don't like your story idea. Maybe it's just me, but I just have a personal distaste for it. It's hard for me to point out what exactly it is, but it leaves me with unease. Who knows, maybe I'm just such a cold, cynical, egotistical person that I don't like anyone's ideas but my own. But along with that, battling would be way too hard to implement in a sensible way, methinks.

So, if you feel it necessary, you can give me another one of your ideas if you have one and/or you could tell me to PM you mine. Although I warn you that they are, as I said, over complicated, too open ended, and stray pretty far into the fantasy-type setting. Also, if you would like a more fluid conversation in which we could talk this over, tell me to give you my MSM and we can talk through Messanger.
Interesting. You seem to be able to answer the questions rather easily. However, being one of the argumentative type, I am not without quarrel. Now, my argument is one that seems rather out of place considering the basis, I don't feel that this is entirely realistic.

Now, I know what you are thinking, but it has nothing to do with that.... probably. No, my statement is against the reaction of the people. Now, I don't know if I'm just being stupid, but I honestly don't think your reaction is the way people would actually act under the circumstances.

I mean, just imagine if some creature that you have never seen before suddenly appeared before you. Would you honestly run away, call the thing a monster, and never even look or take interest it it again? Maybe. But along with that, there would be curiosity. What is that thing you saw? Now, let's imagine this on a larger scale. One way or another, scientists, much like the player's father, would take interest in these creatures. No matter how much people don't like Pokemon, there is no way that he would be the only one to study them. There is no way that he would be the only one to come to the conclusion that Pokemon are blood thirsty beasts. In fact, the first connection we would make when we see Pokemon is to animals, usually. We know that animals can be violent, but we don't look at animals as ravenous beasts. We know they are driven by survival instinct and wouldn't do anything if it wasn't because either they needed to do it to survive, or they feel threatened.

Secondly, no matter how much people hated Pokemon, the hero would have to get attention. On that subject, the hero tamed a Pokemon by nurturing it. Are we supposed to be under the assumption that nobody else in the entire world also nursed a Pokemon back to health before? Furthermore, remember that the hero tamed a Pokemon. Doesn't that mean people would have to acknowledge the fact that since Pokemon can be tamed, that Pokemon are capable of advanced emotions, or, at absolute least are more animistic in the sense that they can learn trust and be domesticated?

On a unrelated note, I'm pretty sure the matter of Pokemon moves has to do with the Pokeball in some way. I mean, those things are advanced enough that they can capture, shrink, and re materialize living matter. I'm sure that they would be able to teach Pokemon basic commands. How they can understand advanced commands, as in the anime, perhaps it is just Pokemon are intelligent enough to understand human speech. However, in that case, it makes no sense that a Pokemon can't very easily speak human languages. Since they possess the intellect to comprehend speech (I mean, Pokemon apparently have their own language.) and possess the vocal capabilities to actually enunciate certain sounds that make up human speech. So by all means, they should be able to speak it. Not that I mean they should, that is.
kian we can use chat, im on the mac its chatable, lol and u were at... when we saw celebie and it transported us, and made the old prof crazy

Let me get one thing out of the way: I've never really loved "Pokemon meets Real Life". So if I seem overly harsh, than that would probably be one of the reasons why.

Also, please, try not to be offended. I don't mean any harm towards you when I criticize what you wrote. I'm sure you are fine as a person and are perfectly capable of writing something really, really good. It may seem that I dwell more on what I don't like as opposed to what I do, that is because I am. I prefer to be criticized than to be praised. That rubs off when I am trying to evaluate something. So, all of that aside, I shall begin.

The main problem with this is that it overall would probably be more work than its worth. If you hope for moving cars, that probably won't happen, not without massive amounts of work it won't. Among those are several other things that would be a bit too difficult to make the world more "real". I mean, city size, people per area, the general landscape of the world. All of it would end up taking excessive amounts of time.

Second, the story itself seems like something that just wouldn't work easily. There seem to be so many questions that the story presents. If your story presents too many questions, it could ruin it. Even if you answer every possible question in the game, it could still turn out bad simply because so much game time would have to be taken just explain why everything is as it is. And if your game has a harder time explaining itself than a murderer who was confirmed as a killer through every possible means, you have a problem.

Just a few of the posed questions: Why are the Pokemon there? (I trust that would be answered.) How come the hero an domesticate a Pokemon while nobody else can? (Classic case of "he's the hero, he can do anything" scenario. Might be able to be classified as "plot armor" but it wouldn't be in the most proper context. I mean, seriously, out of all the people in the world, why does this one kid have the power to this unbelievable feat.) How did the father conclude Pokemon are friendly? Why does he care if they've been mistreated? What insanity lead him to the conclusion of sending his child on some mad quest to prevent everyone in the world/country/state/district/town/2 mile radius from mistreating Pokemon? Why not just present his conclusion to the local district legislator and petition for a law to be passed, that way the entire law force can deal with his fear that Pokemon are mistreated for some reason.

Now let's say the story was edited or the questions were answered in such a way that the plot could continue as you plan. How would the game go about? If Pokemon are now in the wild, would they appear wherever they wanted? Would there be tall grass? Why would there be tall grass? In the real world (In the USA, at least) there are very few areas that could be used as routes in this day and age. Most areas that could, are dominated by roads. Would he go by foot? Why would he go by foot if there are cars, buses, planes, etcetera that can be used to go where you want?

Then what would happen? Would you go around cities, preaching that Pokemon shouldn't be harmed I'm sorry to say, but that's not very exciting gameplay. Would there be battles? Well, yours is the only domesticated Pokemon in the world, so no trainer battles. Speaking of which, why aren't you a celebrity by now? Wouldn't every swarm around you the second you show your face just because you have a Pokemon? Why are the police/scientists/the government not trying to use you to train their people to be able to train Pokemon?

Back to the subject of battles, would you battle wild Pokemon. We already covered the issue of where would the wild Pokemon even be. Why would your Pokemon even listen to you, did the hero train that thing for years to respond to certain vocal commands with certain actions like a dog? Why would the hero want the Pokemon to use attacks? Wouldn't using a Pokemon be abuse? For both the one being commanded and the one being hit by the one being commanded?

So, by that logic, there could be no Pokemon battles. And, without Pokemon battles, the game would lose all connection with Pokemon in all ways. No matter how far away from the traditional formula a Pokemon game is, and no matter how much I hate people making nintendo Pokemon clones and call the new games (hacks) there still has to be Pokemon battles.

Now, maybe, if the story was drastically changed, it could logically work. But, I refer you to my original point: it would probably be more work than it is worth.
kian!!!!! why dont you ever talk yo me anymore im sorry my dad shut off my internet in rage that one day because i didnt throw away the trash pleasse go back on our chat, dazzle
Greetings, Kian. Binary has informed me that you have recently sent her your ideas for a hack that we shall, with luck, be working on soon. If you would, may you please send me a PM of the same story pitch. I am also one who hopes to be working on writing the story, and it would be within everyone's interests if we were to collaborate on its formation.
make sinnoh sprites in gba format, and insert them in ruby (replace hoene [however you spell it] pokemon). also, i'll look at your thread, probably isn't bad, but i'll look. also, do you have an xbox 360, and if you do, do you have live?
