I had the same issue as im_mega, when cloning agbcc i get:

I've been messing around and practicing adding new tiles into advance map and putting them into a map. The tiles themselves are fine, but I haven't figured out how to do the corners yet and after messing with flipping around sprites and such, I've gotten nowhere. (SS below)

For editing pokemon data and moves, Pokemon Rom Changer should be able to edit all of the things you listed. For changing encounters and trainers, Kazowar's BW Wild editor and BW Trainer Editor should work. Spiky's DS map Editor should work for the mapping. All are found here...
I added moves to my rom so that I have 559 in total and i can edit them all fine up until the 531st where the move editor stops responding and I have to close the program. If anyone could help me out then that would be appreciated.
I was messing around with adding some gen 4 and 5 pokemon into emerald and I used cry editor to replace the old cries, but in game, some of the cries have no sound, but other cries work completely fine. I checked in cry editor and the cries for all the pokemon and the ones with no sound are fine...
I do have all the packages and they are the versions that are shown in the main post. I checked and made sure I didn't miss a step, but at the end of ./build.sh

I did the build.sh step and i did everything within bash. I deleted cygwin and did all the steps over again just in case I messed something up, but I still got cp: cannot stat 'libgcc.a': No such file or directory, when I did ./install.sh ../pokeemerald. I'm new to this stuff so I'm not sure...
I'm having trouble trying to load the tileset back into Advanced-Map. The water looks fine in paint, but when I load it into my tileset, it's just one single blue color. Could anyone explain what I'm doing wrong?
