Steelix is pretty slow, so it's pretty easy to kill. Also its only available in certain games only through trading, which sucks since I don't usually have a trading partner and people on GTS usually just request the box art legendaries.

Swampert. Sure it can't fly, but it does have access to all the Water-type HMs and for a fourth move slot Earthquake for super-powerful STAB. And when I don't need Dive anymore, I could just go to Lilycove and forget it for something else.

IMO the only 4 useful apps on the Poketch were the clock, the step tracker (for friendship and eggs), the map tracker (for roaming legendaries) and the Dowsing Machine. All the other ones are OK or just meh.

I would want a bunch of Budew since they are pure, smol, innocent and wholesome. Sure they may be poisonous, but they can have the ability Natural Cure so they aren't as poisonous. Also you don't have to worry about them breeding like crazy since they're baby Pokemon and are incapable of breeding.
