FireRed hack: Pokémon: Liquid Crystal [3.3.xxxxx Live Beta]

Wow, this is still going on?! Good work, linkandcelda c: Overall, this hack is promising. For sure, this will turn out to be a complete, awesome game. Although I'm not too fond of how the regular tree tile cuts out at the bottom, the grass path tile's pattern, and the excessively light outline...

Annnnnd here comes the Berlitz train again :3!

Heeey guys, I'm a pretty old member here. I'm known mainly for my spriting and ROM hacking, and people usually called me by my more common username Esmas (if only I'd have changed it back before username changing was removed :I), or by my real name Russell. I created a new account a while...

How can leveling Pokemon be made less boring?

Taking an idea from an MMORPG I play constantly, you could do quests/tasks which give Pokémon experience. It wouldn't be as boring, because even if the quest/task is tiresome, the reward is a large amount of experience at one time. If that's not possible, there could be quests/tasks that give...

Do video series count as legitimate hacks?

I wouldn't call it a 'game', seeing as they aren't playable, or even downloadable for that matter. They're for entertainment. But looking at your videos, I can definitely call them 'full-fledge' hacks. They not be as time-consuming, rewarding, or difficult to make, but they have characters, they...

[Hack of the Month] Voting - January 2011

I vote for Super Rising Thunder!. It seems to be the overall superior hack, in terms of scripting, mapping and storyline, although the hacks are all close contestants.

    FireRed hack: Pokémon Genesis

Those are some very nice overworlds, Thrace. But the only things that bother me are that the front-facing sprites' legs looks like they're standing out, and the side-facing sprites' look like there's something pointy coming out of her pants! (Umm... xD) Just maybe some tweaks to make it look better.

    FireRed hack: Pokémon: Broken Beacon

Could you please tell me what's wrong with my 'application'? I can sprite myself if you'd like as well.

4th Gen So, HeartGold, SoulSilver… whatcha getting?

I'll probably be getting SoulSilver, simply because I never got the "second game" when they game out. For example, I got Red, Gold, Ruby, FireRed and Diamond, and never Blue, Silver, Sapphire and LeafGreen. Just for a change.

    FireRed hack: Pokémon: Broken Beacon

I'm changing my entry completely. I guess my sprite didn't cut it, since it's supposed to look like a fantasy RPG character. Name: Russell Gender: Male Age: 15 Description: Though shorter than average, he's talented and almost a genius. He almost never smiles, and he takes battling...

Discontinued: Pokemon Crono - English Beta 2 released!

There are many things that can cause you problems when it comes to ROMs. You need Lunar IPS, the correct ROM base of the ROM hack, an up-to-date emulator, the correct emulator settings, etc. Or you could be doing something wrong yourself, like patching it incorrectly or something.

    Honoring Those who Serve

Salutes to all of the men and women who fought in the war; all the Americans (and other Allies) who witnessed the horrible sights of war for our own freedom. And you can't forget about the Canadians, too. xD *bulbagarden.net image removed* :)

    FireRed hack: Pokémon: Broken Beacon

This looks beautiful, so I'll enter the contest. Name: Do you need a 'pun' of his type? If not, 'Russell' will do. If you do, then maybe 'Cyan' is good. Can't think of anything else. xD Gender: Male Age: About 16-17 Appearance: Here - I noticed you wanted a leader in a church, but I already had...

    Hack of the Week 2010

I'll have to vote for Fire Emblem: Web of Deceit. I absolutely love Fire Emblem, and it's great seeing a hack of it. It looks very nice, and everything looks quite solid to me.
