Heh, all southern Japan. Not surprised as that's the tourist-y part of Japan (not a lot of reasons to come way up here in the north), but I have a very different experience because of it. There's plenty of reasons for me to go back home. I'm a foreigner that lives in rural Japan, and that comes with about as many problems as being a POC living in rural US does. Japan also doesn't have as many rights for women, and basically none for LGBT (which I am, surpriiiiise) so that's a nice overarching problem. At the same time though, there's a uniqueness to the culture up here; I get a lot of experiences I never would if I lived in a bigger city, or even if I was farther south. I also have juuuust enough foreign friends (most of which actually come from WA too, because my city has a sister city relationship with a town in WA) to not go crazy, and having a car and ONE train south is enough to keep me from being totally isolated haha.
Grad school tho, nice! I can think about that when I pay off my current school loans lol. Who knows, maybe we'll both be back in WA when we're done with our respective things? xD

Oh so you totally get it! Such a tricky business. See that's why I set aside blocks of time and ONLY that time for trading. If people can't make it then that's too bad. It's too much trouble to try and work it otherwise. >>

Few if not the only one, and I'm not here forever really. I WAS in the US so that'll be what I go back to. Still a couple years away though...hopefully. @w@
Yes absolutely! People that are like "I'll just catch you online!" make me laugh and go "no you won't." I actually have a ton of IRL stuff I have to do every weekend too, like I do all my grocery shopping and housework on the weekends (really Saturday cuz I do DND sessions on Sundays). That's also assuming I don't have an event which I usually do, so I only really have a couple hours every weekend.

Yeahhh, that's frustrating. I have to tell people like EVERY TIME that I'm only available to trade at certain times even if I'm "online", and I even have to remind people who have traded with me before and know my rules. It's a nightmare. That's why I browse in Invisible mode most of the time.

Then like I said, he probably spent straight days working on it (likely weekends if he was lucky enough to have that time). Maybe he didn't even sleep and just did Pokemon the moment he got home, Idk. FOR REALS MAN. I've had to tell people I was too tired to come on and they're like "why?" Uh, because work tires you out. College students are a little more understanding since all-nighters and stuff, but it's hit or miss. People who just don't get it make me want to explode.

Cool! I'll check it out. Yeahh, which is why I try to proof stuff I get here in Japan. People are picky even on the KIND of proof, and I think that's stupid but oh well. I do as much as I can and that's all. I'm probably not going to be trading for older stuff anymore, it's too much of a disappointment.

OHH yeah, cuz you know that's totally 16 hours of work every day, or literal straight days if he had a job of some sort. I ain't about those time limits. I'll do stuff at my own pace. (Prooooobably why it's taken 10 years to even get one of every species. >>)

Thank you!! I'm not sure what you're missing, but Bulbapedia has a list of Pokemon with gender differences I guess I'll just cross-reference that with your lists? Yeah I probably won't be trading for many events, but you likely have other Shinies I need / am interested in so I'll look out for those!

Agreed. I think sater10 on here hunts ALL his own stuff (I've traded him stuff that he can't hunt as easily, and most things I got had his OTs), which is just nuts. He gave me a SPARE Shiny Cyndaquil he had once. @@

Trust me, I get it. When I finished a couple days ago there was no sort of euphoria, it was more like" wow...now I can finally die in peace" LOL. Not sure how long you've been hunting but for me it was 10 years. Part of the reason I'm working on actual different forms but that's where I draw the line. @@

Oh my god, I can't tell you the number of times I've slipped up like that. I started seriously DexNav hunting near the beginning of the year, during the week I had flu cuz I was quarantined in my apartment til I got better. I think I caught 5 or 6 Shinies that week, but I started being too eager and scared away Pokemon, like, every ten encounters or something haha. Absolute worst.
Thank you! I'm working on East Shellos next since I don't have any of that form, then maybe I'll start replacing older stuff. (I was also considering hunting a Sun Vivillon, though I'm not sure I can change my location in order to restart a game for it. I'll have to look into it more.)

Yeeshs, that's tough. @@ Slakoth (the last Shiny I needed for LivingDex) was over 400 encounters but I did manage to get it. I guess it just depends? I tried to read up on the chances in DexNav and no one really knows, but they think it's a set chance kinda like Friend Safari (doesn't increase with more encounters or a chain).
(Ironically, Sewaddle was a random DexNav encounter for me; wasn't even hunting it and it showed up. @w@)

Agreed. Course with the mass of hacks that have been coming up, I'm working on trying to get stuff myself. I actually really enjoy DexNav hunting in ORAS, so I've been working on that a lot. (Just caught myself a Deerling yesterday in only a few encounters! That was real nice.)

Don't worry about it lol. I don't mind trading for hacks because they're really useful not for my collection, but for my hack list. It builds up more and more collecting all the hacks that are in circulation. :)

Yep, I mainly use PKHeX, but if I can't find anything wrong in PKHeX, sometimes I use other programs. Not to mention, comparing them with my own collection lol. PCJP03 should be fairly easy to find, there are full sets out there. And for PCNYs, I think I showed this to Road, but I pretty much compare PCNYs to what my friend has listed here:

If he doesn't have it listed in Part 5, it's most likely one of the infamous hacks that have appeared after gen 5. Of course, my friend has a few errors on his list (00018 PCNYd Salamence and 00105 PCNYd Exploud are hacked). The only new PCNYs that I've ever seen that looks 100% legit are:

00893 PCNYa Aggron
00901 PCNYb Wailord
00419 PCNYd Milotic

And apparently these 3 comes from one source.

Both of them are hacked, sorry. I knew the Seviper was hacked before I traded for it, but the PCJP03 Ralts being hacked is pretty unique. Both of them have the wrong natures according to their PID. Not to mention, Ralts' Poke Transfer date (gen 4 -> gen 5) is April 26, 2003, which is not only the date of the gen 3 event day, but I've noticed any event with a gen 3 obtain date is automatically hacked.

It seems to happen a lot actually, the imperfect 5IVs! A lot of my 7th Gen stuff is like that. (All the competitive Rockruffs I have are missing Speed, SpDef, etc, and I got them from the breeders themselves. @@)

I doubt they even tried to RNG. Since the nature is not ideal I just assumed the inheritance had a 30 in it and the other 30 came from lucky random generation.

No I do not, though I know it comes directly from the German trading sphere (the guy I got it from got it from there). Shoot, I always forget about Everstones! Yes I can definitely do that, yer welcome to release the evolved clone. @@
