I just have a few things to say which contradict and agree with your post (you know which one I mean :P). So for the most part you are right. A lot of hackers abuse what they are given. But have you forgotten the base of users here are what 9-13 year olds all psyched up about Pokemon. They stumble on to here and are welcomed with tools in which they can use and abuse. Yes half of them hot tempered arrogant fools. But what are we to say... The true rom hackers in which you speak of are those who work under the scene such as you as you are a very old and respected member here. But some of the points you posted were a bit demeaning to the thread's owner if not directly meant. As he was trying at least to begin working with hex and such with his program (after all he is 13). Well anyways I hope you get what I am saying and yes 3/4 of your post is spot on. Thanks ;).

Hey, I found some of my old 1st and 2nd gen. tools if you want for your site, I remember you asking and I found em in my crawlspace of the application folder.

Seriously though, the hacks section seems immature, obviously I know nothing about hacking but sometimes people need to be put in their place.

I agree with everything in your post. ROM hacking is just ruined and theres only like a small amount of ROM hackers out there that are TRUE ROM hackers.

Hi i see your post about rom hacking noobs. I agree with you, because when i released my dpp hex editing tutorial, only one or two people decided to help me(scv and lather alpha). All the other people tell me that it's good tutorial, etc but that it's too complicated and other noobs thing. If i don't start research onto dpp, maybe tools like ppre don't exist, and we continued to hack trophy garden pokemon. It's a bad situation, but we must accept. I remember the time when you released poketronic, and now i feel like you during that period. Five men and a lot of children that expect tools.
But now tell me a thing about hacking. Where do you find 3dsmax nsbmd plugin? Or you use Ogle rip?

I know hacking in those days was hard and im pretty sure when the lz77 compresed data came out you had no idea what it was but if i must say something iv'e tried hex editing pokemon roms and if you dont know what to edit better stay out of it i atleast pour my entire being into whatever im doing i figure that scripting is hard and i get frustrated because i know i want to make everything as tidy as possible and i fail i come everyday from school to read diegoisawesome's tut over and over and iv'e read everything out there but have never even come close to a hex editing tut its a hard conquer if you dont know were to start but myself atleast if i ever find a tut that atleast explains the basics i would study it till my brains fry my point is that i dont hack just for hacking i hack because that is my life (i think) i stopped hacking o.s because i got in legal trouble so i had to stop but then i figured out that i could hack pokemon games and i said to myself that could be even funner so i started hacking pokemon games so my point is dont rush the noobs you cant run before you walk and thats what i mean i wanna learn how to script before hex editing and this might sound gay but what you said hurt my feelings
