This BP system can be such a grind. I need to get a Razor Claw by tonight so I can evolve my Gliger. It's only 8 points but the darn entrances take so long. Hehe.

Come time to breed I'll be bothering you quite a bit. So be prepared. To be honest I was quite scared of the whole thing before I started speaking with you. Now that you've taught me a bit it seems much less overwhelming. Hehe.

Much more excited now. So it would be ideal to max out two stats in terms of EVs? As for IVs those are more or less random for the most part unless I influence them? Either way you seem to have been right all along. In regards to IVs anyway since this generation seems to be fairly lenient when it comes to EV mistakes. Though, I get the feeling IVs are the lesser of the two I want to worry about.

All of this has me pretty excited to start breeding come end game. I figured a Pokémon with a certain Nature would also get a higher IV in its boosted Nature stat, but I suppose I still have a lot to learn. :) Thanks for always being so helpful. <3

Hm. How much of a difference does it make in the end? Will it stay a consistent 1 point lead or does this number increase over time?

Both Natures ended up being Adamant. This is interesting though. I wonder why the Speed is higher than the Attack.

I honestly forget you live in a different timezone since I tend to be awake around the same times as you. Hehe.

I managed to get two level ones with the following stats.

HP 12
Att 6
Def 7
Sp Att 4
Sp Def 6
Speed 7

And another with the same except its speed is 6. Are these initial stats any indication as to which will be better? Or does that 7 not mean much?

Ah, thank goodness for emulators then. I wish I still had my computer. I had so much fun with PC games. I suppose you're right about it being a challenge. Who knows, you may even come to like some of the Pokémon you get. :)

Yea, I've been doing my best to learn about EVs and IVs. I plan to implement it after I beat the game. :)

I just checked out some of your favorites and I have to say Darmanitan and Volcarona look quite amazing. I had considered using a Purrloin through my main story but I couldn't get over the fact that it has loin in its name. It's silly I know. I could name one Miau though. That would be a bit more pleasant to the eyes. :)

That sounds pretty interesting. I sure would hate to end up using a Pokémon I really didn't like though. Would you be starting a new file to do this on? Or how does the challenge work? :x

If I were you I'd do both! You can always take a break from the other and its not like there's any rush. Right?

I decided to choose my in-game team half based on appearance and competitiveness. When I beat the game I can easily breed the Pokémon I have to properly EV train them. Though I'm still unsure as to how IVs work. Either way I'll do my best to breed and retrain them once I beat the game. Also, I heard there's a way to reset your EVs at your Join Avenue so I may not even have to retrain them at all.

I have chosen one based on attack. I'll be using Scolipede! I just need one more Pokémon for my team and I'll be done. What are your favorites?

Well you just let me know if you ever need him back and you can have him in a heartbeat. I just wish I could rename it Miau. I feel it would be appropriate. :) I would really love to watch some of the newer movies, however I completely missed Diamond and Pearl so I feel fairly lost. I was tempted to pick up Platinum version though...

I'm usually not a big fan of using Legendary Pokémon in my teams but I truly want this one here. I also don't know half of the Pokémon you mentioned which is half the reason I want to use more of this Generation in my team. :( No matter how hard I try though, I can't find it in me to want to use any of the starters. Hehe.

I'm not necessarily doing a blind run. I choose my Pokémon very carefully based on which I liked. I have a bad habit of choosing those I like over ones I know are solid for anything competitive. I'll definitely have to choose a final Pokémon for my team though. I just don't know who I want. :(

You have so many games! I'm struggling to find enough time to go through the main story on this one and here you are trying to play more than one at a time. Hehe. I'm still considering getting Platinum or Soul Silver but I feel I should wait until X & Y come out. This game should give me plenty to do until then.

Do you by any chance have any recommendations for Gen 5 Pokémon?
