oh, and carracosta has sturdy ability - it let's him using pinch berries, which aren't available yet. Adamant/Jolly Sturdy Caracosta with Salac Berry can be a huge thread combined with EQ, Stone Edge, Waterfall and shell Smash. If you make it a Special pokemon it can get pretty good boost from Venomoth - spAtk and Speed, it will lose the SpDef Boost after a Shell Smash

better do 100% UU team, try Magcargo instead of Shellder - it's pretty awesome! or carracosta if it has to be Shell Smash abuser

he'll have HP Ice, I;m certain of that - my togekiss has the same spread ;)

yep. tried that in PO and that's fine with me. i replaced ice shard with razor shell for more coverage (is that okay?) (i edited that in my previous post)
gonz - breed a shellder (w/ rock blast+icicle spear) in egg, trade to me
mik - hatch, trade back to gonz
gonz - transfer to 5th gen, level up to 13 for icicle spear, level up to 32 for razor shell, water stone evo, ev train, level up to 100, trade to me (pkmn black)

lets go with 31, 30, 30, 31, 31, 31. i have a problem with air balloon though. as a baton receiver from a fast pokemon, amphy will take the damage (thus popping the balloon) instead of the baton passer. so i dont really find it useful.

if you want cloyster as a lead, better invest in speed than in hp - sash will allow you set up once which is enough, but you will have serious problems with priority moves users - they can easily KO 1hp Cloyster - I mean Sucker Punchers or Extremespeed users. (rock blast - egg move, the rest Shelder's lvl up in IV - ice shard and Icicle spear in V gen - the two mentioned and Shell Smash)

Amphy will be better with 31, 30, 30, 31, 31, 31 spread - 1 speed point is often more helpful than def. If it has to be a Baton Pass receiver I'd change the item to air balloon instead of shuca - Balloon gives you temporal immunity to ground, which is better than 50% less dmg. (Signal Beam by lvl up, FB, HP and T-bolt TMs)
