Im having trouble with this too, i double checked rudys dialogue and he says west of route 9. Ive gone up and down route 9, and the east and west of route 9 are rocks blocking passage so im not sure where to go? Any help would be great, Thanks

Loving the game so far, only 3/4 of the way through Kanto. Just curious on a couple things I couldn't find out by searching the thread. If the out of battle effect for sync is applied in game? Also if Ev reducing berries are available at some point. Thanks
