I was just confused a little bit about your monotype challenge. "Elite Four viable pokemon"? What does that excatly mean..?

So I know we can trade in Pokemon to fill out teams, but can we trade a Pokemon to another game to learn a move? Roar is a post-game TM in XY and I don't want Charizard to have Growl forever. If not, that's okay. He can just get Confide instead.
