    [Other] Adding Gen IV Pokémon/Abilities/Items/Moves

Alright, that’s really helpful, thanks :)

    [Other] Adding Gen IV Pokémon/Abilities/Items/Moves

So does this means that the Gen IV moves and abilities will be there before I patch, so I can add them to the learnsets? Again- sorry if it sounds like I'm asking the same question over and over again, just making triple sure.

    [Other] Adding Gen IV Pokémon/Abilities/Items/Moves

I may be wrong, but aren't the post-Gen III moved added after patching cfru? So I wouldn't be able to put them in before it, which kinda puts me between a rock and a hard place. Still, I may have misunderstood it completely.

About that, I read through the CFRU & DPE Guide, but it said that after it was inserted, you could no longer edit move sets. (And I think that the CFRU post said not to edit the ROM at all after insertion, but that info may be outdated)

    [Other] Adding Gen IV Pokémon/Abilities/Items/Moves

So, I have a specific request here to make. I'm looking to specifically update one of the Gen III games. (Probably FireRed, though not entirely sure on that one), to play more like a Gen IV game. This means - Physical Special Split - Sinnoh Pokémon - Gen IV Moves / Abilities / Items - Gen IV...

[Error] EBS Error When Opening Options Menu

For reference, my game is using Luka SJ's scripting utilities and EBS. Every time I try to open the options menu in game, whether it be in the title menu or in the game itself, it always says that the code is taking too long, and restarts the game, it then gives me the following error message...

    [Error] Critical Error, help

Alright, so I copied all the map data into a base Essentials project, and the bug doesn't show up anymore. So I think I found at least a temporary solution. Thank you both for the help! :D

    [Error] Critical Error, help

So I tried all the things you suggested, unfortunately, the error message still comes up. One thing to note is that is always comes up at the same time, when the title bar (at least I think thats what its called) says "Compiling trainers..." So I think there might still be a problem with that...

    [Error] Critical Error, help

I have not made any changed to any scripts, in fear of breaking the game (using a previous version, changing a single pokemon of a gym leader deleted half the trainers.txt file for some reason) I'll try that tomorrow, and let you know how it goes. Thanks for bearing with me thus far. :)

    [Error] Critical Error, help

So I tried copying a fresh Compiler scrupt over. Still doesn't work. :/ Idk.

    [Error] Critical Error, help

By copying over, how does one do that? You mean literally just highlighting the whole paste script and ctrl+c, ctrl+v- ing it over?

    [Error] Critical Error, help

I'm generally bad at coding, which one is the compiler script?

    [Error] Critical Error, help

So I tried it and, yes, it still crashed. It doesn't help that the Message just say "field". Will try to shift over an old trainers.txt file that worked before, and see what happens. In the mean time, if all else fails, is there any way to transfer map data?
  14. NotRushed

    [Error] Critical Error, help

I havent made any changes in the compiler that I know of. I'll try that, thanks.

    [Error] Critical Error, help

Whenever I try to boot up the game, it crashed saying "(Pokemon Essentials V17.2) RuntimeError Message: Field" It does this when trying to load the trainers.txt file, when I looked, the entire file was blank, after copypasting the default trainers from another trainers.txt file, it still comes...
