I found the error! It's whenever you use the backslash in the game (such as \m) which is not defined, you cause some sort of weird chain reaction that causes other undefined symbols to show rather than hide. I'm going to try and edit the font to include a backslash and see if this fixes the problem

actually, that's a backslash, and a clean version of pokemon essentials gs doesn't have that problem... odd

In general, the 5th gen is kind of forgotten and also looked at as being that generation with "the ice cream cone and the trash bag" But within the deeper Pokemon fanbase, it will be remembered for its story.

On one hand I think megas are annoying and they force you now to keep one on your team to keep up with everyone else, but on the other hand I think they are a great way of reintroducing/fixing outdated/sucky Pokemon and/or giving them the love they need without an evolution. The bad thing is is...

I love Chikorita! It's my 2nd favorite starter, but I can see why it's pretty forgettable. Most people chose Cyndaquil. Feraligatr is pretty forgettable. Gen 3 is pretty memorable. Gen 4 is memorable, but does anyone remember PRINPLUP... oh man... Gen 5... Tepig.
