Emerald hack: Altered Emerald (386+ patch with new maps and 7th gen battle engine/evos)

I'm not done yet, I just got the meteorite back after stomping Maxis, but so far, this is a REALLY nice hack; A fresh coat of paint to almost all the maps, some later gen stuff, new bios for all the mons, etc. I just love that it doesn't take itself too seriously with the dialogue and story...

    Pokesharp 2.0 - Java reboot

Can't promise any date for now. Ludum Dare is coming up and I'm playing games or practicing pixel art most of the time lately. I did write the game exportation code this week though so I can start coding the game engine soon enough. Once I'm able to walk around in the maps I made with the map...

[Discussion] What Kind of Starter Kit Would You Like to See?

Pokemon Essentials is a huge hack, people use it because it's the only available option. You need to use external tools made by Maruno and co. because RMXP doesn't have proper support for these features. A new dedicated and full featured solution is what's needed. I am working on Pokesharp right...

    Pokesharp 2.0 - Java reboot

Yeah I know. I rather make my own editor because I have my own map format and I don't want people to force people to use both Tiled along with my own tool for map connections, battle animations etc. Tiled is cool but it doesn't let you work as fast as I wish it would also and it's not very...

    Pokesharp 2.0 - Java reboot

I am hoping for it to be as complete as Essentials. I have been contemplating the event system in RPG Maker which is really nice. (List of commands, no scripting required) I would love to do that and I have been trying to figure out efficient and intelligent way to implement my own. I also...

    [Question] Monetization of Game?

It doesn't matter if you make money or not off of it, Pokemon is copyrighted by Nintendo and it remains illegal even if you do not make money off of it.

    Pokesharp 2.0 - Java reboot

Haha yeah I'm not entirely sure about it either. I was messing around with an affine transform and thought that looked cool. I will probably change it though Edit: Today, I worked on the scriptable auto tiles. Here are some pictures with a small animated demonstration Here is a link to...

    Pokesharp 2.0 - Java reboot

    * Layers and history panes coded * Bucket and Rectangle tools coded When you select an entity in the entity pane, it has a little animation to show that it is selected I might change it in the future and also make it light up a little bit when selected.

    [Question] legallity

Pokemon is a registered trademark by Nintendo. As soon as you staple that on your game, it becomes "illegal" so to speak. But it's also worth considering the chances that they will actually care about your fan game enough to require that you shut it down, which is why not a whole lot of people...

[Discussion] Interest in programming on the GBA? (Not ROM hacking)

Why limit yourself to the GBA? You can make cross-platform applications with next to no limitations easily. I don't see why one would like to restrict themselves to the GBA hardware unless it's for learning purposes. For anyone wondering, programming a Pokemon game for the GBA wouldn't be any...

    Pokesharp 2.0 - Java reboot

It still freaks me out to think about the battle engine and the amount of work it'll take to get it done but I might make that open source and get community help if needs be!

    Pokesharp 2.0 - Java reboot

https://pokesharp.com/ has been brought back up. I will update the website with the number of lines of code in the project every day. This should give me some motivation to work on it a bit everyday. I apologize for the ugly website, but it's the best I can do with in the web development field. :P
