The writing in Genshin ranges from solid to legitimately really good. There's very little that can be called bad.

Sumeru definitely had my favourite story content so far. Going to be hard for Fontaine to compete. Then again, I thought that about Sumeru after Inazuma, so who knows?

Depends on what you think "high quality" is for the setting. I wouldn't be surprised if they were a bit ahead of the curve compared to Mondstadt or Liyue.

A fountain in Fontaine isn't exactly a shock.

They're both pretty big factions with big things going on so I could see it being the Fatui in the end but I agree that the Abyss not being part of any of the nations makes them feel like a more likely finale. They might pull a fast one on us and do Tsaritsa v Celestia at the conclusion of the Teyvat chapter but eeeeehhh idk about that.

I mean, that's just the risk you take writing a character who is yet to appear in the game.

The Fatui generally prefer to deal with things diplomatically, but you'd think that the other nations would definitely not be looking at them kindly after the very public Fatui presence during Osial's attack and you'd think that the stuff they did in Inazuma would be coming out now even if Dottore's shit in Sumeru somehow hasn't.
