Yeah, Kanto is overdone. If you want fan remake, perhaps Johto+Sinnoh. We have Sinjoh Ruin but has no indication what really connects the two region, story-wise~

The start of the game is designed so you feel lost so it's intentional. That's how you immerse with the main character since the main character is intended to feel lost in such city. This is the sign that the game will have the potential to create immersion so hope you enjoy the future release~
