Actually, it's not just 'some' players. I've noticed quite a few people don't want to play a game that has fakemon in it. I've also noticed quite a few people who don't like 721 games. I myself am going for about 250, which is a lot all things considered, but only has a handful of fakemon in it...
Okay after giving it some thought, first of all it looks like you're missing the waterfall's Crest. Second, the splash is too big for that waterfall. It should look like this:
It's still a little odd, and it doesn't help that for some reason Essentials doesn't have river tiles O.o but that...
If anything, I'd personally be frustrated at version differences in a fangame unless there would be a way to trade between the two, because then there'd be no completing the PokeDex. I suppose using the two game version you could alter the PokeDex to only have the version specific ones.
I would imagine that since you'd have to have two separate games for two separate versions, you'd just change the encounter data for the maps you want to have different pokemon.

I happen to like this map. Has the charm of Evergrande, I think. The only thing I can say is that the mountain turning to grass where the upper two buildings are is kind of jarring. Other than that, I think the spacing of everything is fine, the flowers don't look overdone...
Hey guys. I'm attempting to make all the tiles of my game, so I'm making them little by little in between other development processes. I just wanted to get feedback on the bases of the trees and which looks the best (grass, complete grass, and no grass). Also, any critique on the trees would be...
My game actually only has about 265 and currently only has five fakemon. I might add more fakemon, but I'd remove originals to make room for them. Like was said, there's no option to trade so there's no way all 721 would fit in one region. Plus, a lot of them are basically the same Pokemon...
Okay, I got a bunch of gifs, but the problem has worsened. I can't get any map to go to Map B anymore. It's a route. I'm going to try completely remaking the map and see if the problem is fixed.
Pictures: (and please ignore any weirdness. I'm in like, stage 1 of development.)
As you can see...
I feel like an idiot. I have to be missing SOMETHING. But no matter what I do and try, I can't make it work. Every time I try to move from one particular map to another, it just goes black. It doesn't matter where the warp is supposed to go, it just goes black and stays black. The music plays as...
Mmm, maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like you might have the Add Pokemon script wrong? You've got "pbAddPokemon(PBSpecies::CHESPIN,5)" but I thought it was "
pbAddPokemon(:CHESPIN,5)"
I don't know why it would give you an invalid Species error, but anything is worth trying, right?
If Nintendo does respond to you, they're going to tell you that they can't approve of the game in any way because of legal concerns on their part. If they don't respond to you, and they find out about a Kickstarter, they can send a cease and desist letter which can not only get you in trouble-...
For my own game, I needed to make some eggs hatch immediately. After looking around I found two different scripts, and neither of them worked... so I made my own. My very FIRST script ever! It may not help people who are good at scripting, but I'm sure some other newbies can make some use of it...
It's more of a personal preference than anything. Don't want to go ten squares and be in a different square, then fifty to get into the third square. So I wanted to know what other people did =)
