    Welp, I tried patching this to a Silver ROM, booted up my gbc emulators and... nothing. No sound, no graphics, just a blank white screen.

    Have the "Mom" NPC give the player a Pokemon with Surf. Have the player start the game on the first floor of their house. Have no intros whatsoever when the player starts a new game. Sorry about the no tags thing, but I wasn't sure if this was more of a Hex or Scripting sort of problem.

    So... I tried using Advance Text to change the dialogue in the Prof. Oak and Birch intros, and now they are completely fucked. Could someone explain the nuances of that to me? And perhaps just give me a method to skip those intros altogether, and just name my character later? Like during an NPC...
