  • I cloned it, so I can create more options to try out if I find something not working (and knowing me, I will LOL). You used the Rocky Helmet instead of Leftovers to great effect, and I'm contemplating using something that attacks first so I can go for the quick kill without being in danger, thus giving me time to stall something else. Alternatively, I can use Leftovers and mix in Attack moves to deal with Taunt myself (that link suggests Leftovers) and then Roost every other turn.
    Also, I'm a dolt. I said I have Vullaby and Eevee separately in my Bank, with 6IVs each, and I said I had a "breeding project". Duh. I don't have any projects; they're already 6IV! {XD}

So I have some EV training to do, which will take the better part of a few hours. And that's before going to Le Wow. Of course, I can evolve Sylveon and go to Beast Soccer Mode at any time by teaching it a Fairy move, so at least that EV training won't take AS long. Vullaby on the other hand can't get to Lv.54 that quickly even at Le Wow without getting spread-out EVs first, so I will have to give it some soccer time before leveling it up.

Speaking of Mandibuzz, there's an interesting EV arrangement suggested here of 248 HP/136 Def/108 SpD/16 Spe. Thoughts?
I meant him being gone for four days right around the beta.

That said, could be summer vacation. But even so, I agree otherwise: if someone won't be active, CRUCIFY HI-...I mean boot him. :)

But yeah, let's give him a couple of days.
Oh, I read it wrong then. I read it backwards, thought it was moving last would fail. Granted, that doesn't make sense, either. So yeah.

FYI, I'm not accepting challenges this evening, at least for now. There's a nasty storm going through the area and I don't want to chance power clicks knocking out a battle. I have two who have asked; one didn't reply to my message, and the other was standing by for now but said could wait until Wednesday too. That works just as well; I have two new breeding projects to do after I check that Johto is complete in the National Dex.

EDIT: Correction. One is already done. Just need to grab it from the Bank later.
Doesn't Focus Sash only apply to a would-be OHKO? I could still use another move and then drop the dynamite with an Earthquake.
I think Tyranitar was still faster. So Metal Burst would have failed IIRC? Dragon Dance did increase the Speed, which might be where you got 0 from; I also have maxed its Speed EVs.
Certainly aware that Stone Edge doesn't make contact. When you brought out the Bisharp I thought, I better check my moves against this; every single move was a resistance. I thought, well, you're going to be attacking this Tyranitar savagely, or swapping Bisharp out right after getting a free attack on something else, so I had to try that out - plus I wanted to see if it could be done. It did, but I played it badly with the Sucker Punches, and the fact that one attack missed that I got Sucker Punched on certainly didn't help me out. Shows how strong Mega T is, though; it still three-hit Bisharp with resisted moves and got it out!

Now imagine if there's a weakness on every member of someone's party among its moves; that's a sweep in waiting.

Kinda wishing I gave it Earthquake before our battle now, too. It would have been done in one shot.
You know what I'm forgetting? Sylveon. Forgot to consider Sylveon.

That thing is a beast and it's not even max-IVed. It's also a special attacker, so it would avoid Rocky Helmets and other contact-to-damage things.

    Weak to physical damage, however.
Indeed, I saw Honchkrow's moveset as a Murkrow and it can do that. But I was busy evolving for the Dex at the time and had a few good IVs, so didn't think much of it.

I'll be away for a bit tomorrow then I'll see if I can grab my 6IV Vullaby to work on. Steel Wing, being a TM, might get wiped off, but we'll see how the move distribution looks.
Oh, duh...I know that, too, but completely forgot it. It's so easy to miss something like that in mid-battle, and I had no Fighting moves ready for that.

All right, I'm copying that strategy. I like it.
Haha, I figured any moment you'd cue an attack and I wouldn't be able to stall/switch, but you kept using Roost on me. I was trying for the Electric and Ice moves, because I thought they were supposed to be super-effective on Mandibuzz see here, but it wasn't picking up as super-effective for some mysterious reason and causing very little damage. I could not understand why. Is that another effect of the Rocky Helmet? If those were super-effective, Mawile would have finished off Mandibuzz with no problem, but that Rocky Helmet is evil with a healing move.

(Note to self: use that strategy. I have a 6IV Vullaby with Steel Wing I can convert.)
Well, Mega T brought it close, but when you brought out Samurott that pretty much did it. Megahorn's OHKO on Greninja decided the match. Nicely done. Knew you'd win though. ;)
Wait...does everything you have include a Rocky Helmet?

That shouldn't be legal, Rocky Helmets and healing moves. LOL
I was still indecisive. I just need a minute here, been off and on this evening and away all day tomorrow, so will be ready in a moment.
