no problem u can show+ up randomly and just say that Cresselia had asked u too go to Treasure town+ and be at the base, but decided to explore the cave somehow+ and ended up being lost but u'll meet me then and then v may see the battle that's happening/taking place, also be at the very end od the cave and there u'r trying to remove a precious stone or something like that .

I'd say.. Near the end.
Just cause it's be wired if I just showed up randomly.
Maybe the other characters get lost or something, then I can lead them out, and so on.
