  • Oh, them buildings you used from my ROM Base (the Mossdeep city ones), nice use of them in that map you made. Never thought of using them like that as well!
Its not too signifcant, the main problem facing me is inserting sprites to my hack, I need to be sure i'm doing it right :/

Also, im almost finished with the king island now..
Hey when do you think you will get the ROM with King Island remapped back to me for?
I kind of need it soon...
    thanks

Also I just noticed the top post on your wall saying you can't insert tiles, if you want, I can insert some tiles in for you if you want :D
Well, as it is a mountain top thing, it's transition is meant to look... Obvious, now I think about it. One of the joys of making ROM Bases is... Well, there are 2 main ones:

    1. It allows me to think about how tiles work, and what go well as practice.
    2. It also allows me to help others

This leads me to the "Base" part, remember you can build whatever you want from these ROM bases, so if you are unhappy about things that I find OK, you can improve it. They aren't there to be untouched, but improved for private use.
Ah, OK. So, you think a better top tile? Well, I can't really say that it won't be done - the current mountain tile is the default Ruby one, so I may improve it (personally, I think it is fine, but whatever).

As for updates, I may release one in the future. Maybe, maybe not. However, if you want, I can send you an update (personally) once I fix a few things.
No, you misunderstood.. I'm too used to working with tiles... Let me explain.

Puddle tiles are made by 2 layers, the first layer being the water, the 2nd being the border where it meets the grass. I could use something similar (in fact, the same border except replace the water bit with the rocky floor). Anyway, I've done a Mountain transition thing, so that is sorted for next time.

... Eh? I'm being a bit slow today on that front... The face we do see, which looks like a... Oh, wait, I may have an inkling... I think if you showed me with tiles from in game in a mock up version, it may make me more certain of what you mean...
Feel free to use it as you see fit.

A transition between mountain and grass... I think I know what you mean for that one. There is a simple way, I didn't add it due to running out of room in the main tileset. It kinda involved using the tiles for the Puddle edges (yu know the ones), and instead of water, using the mountain tiles under, making it look like a path, in a way.

As for top of the mountain... That one I don't understand. Feel free to add to the ROM Base if you want - after all it is a base! Thanks for the feedback!
I see you use the ROM Base I made for Ruby. I would like to thank you for using it, and do you have any feedback for improving it in any way?
If you're a fan of the map, could you help promote my shop with this banner and a link to the thread?

Thanks for rating my map but there are only two ways to get out, The Tree Cutting and the bottem. Everything else you can't get through.
