It's new. I bought it from Best Buy in March 2010. It's a pretty good laptop, so I don't see the need to buy a new one. I'm talking to Gateway now. I'll see what they say. EDIT: Gateway said that it would be $199 for repair. So, I guess I may end up going with them. Thanks for the help.

Is it really that cheap? I asked a guy who owned a computer repair shop here, and he quoted that I'd have to pay him $300 for the parts and $60 for the labor. If it's only 50 bucks, I'd gladly send it to them.
