There is a point in my ROMhack where I need to temporarily replace the party Pokemon with a specific team, then later change it back. I've tried to copy this kind of script off other roms where this happens (Battle Factory in Emerald, etc) but with no luck. How can I do this?

It literally won't let me change the palette. If I use unLZ to select a different palette, then click "write to rom" it simply reverts to palette 1039, the default for the trainer. If I use APE to edit this palette, it tells me it isn't safe to replace, and replacing it turns the entire palette...

Any way you can upload the .pal file you have? It keeps giving me this: "image removed"

Is there any (fairly) easy way of making this ability? I know we can change forms in battle, we DO have transform and stuff like Castform...

Huh, the FR one I had seems to have disappeared. It wasn't the one I was using after all, I was actually using one that's Ash. Oh well, either way here it is: "image removed"

They come back the instant I open the ROM.

No matter what I do, when I replace the Hero's back sprite using unlz, it doesn't work ingame. I'm not talking about an off color palette, im talking all glitched and crap. And I'm making sure it matches up... Can someone walk me through exactly what I'm doing wrong here?
