Like most people here, I only do it because I feel bad if I don't. XD I don't care too much about my luck with shinies as I seem to already be insanely lucky with them, so whether or not tipping increases the chances of finding one doesn't matter much to me.

Oh, good to know I didn't mess it up! I'm sort of wishing I started on a shorter game like FireRed, I'm about to get my 8th badge and that's not even halfway done yet...x) Anyway, good luck to you on your challenge! ^^

Another good thing to use them for are berries such as Grepa and Tomato berries, which raise happiness but lower a given EV. They're great for all types of players; for competitive players who messed up their EVs a little (I know shinies in hordes can do this!) but don't want to reset them all...

My goodness, Snubbulls are taking their time to show up o.o They're even worse for this than the Magmars, I haven't seen a single one and I've been searching for hours! XD On the plus side, I did manage to find a Magmar. We now have Larry the Magmar on the team :D Edit - Found out why I can...

I use them to grow Leppa berries, it helps a lot when I'm out training. Saves a lot of trips to the Pokemon centre as PP gets whittled down fast :)
