  • Yeah it looks so sweet and is really useful with high stability and range.

it apparently is a random legendary drop if I have to believe the internet
    Spoiler:
Just wondering, did you play the original or definitive edition? I had planned to get the original version years ago, but i'm glad I ended up playing the switch version first. One of the new features is being able to change how your characters look regardless of armor. Speaking of progression, there was also a new game+ feature. I'm not sure if that existed in the original, but honestly I haven't used it. I don't see much purpose, unless it's something like Chrono Trigger where you can get 12 different endings with it.

I've tried a bunch of rom hacks, and I feel like it's either hit or miss, no in between. Lots of rom hacks try to be story driven, but end up incoherent. Some have no idea how to scale difficulty, so you end up winning a badge and suddenly the next area has pokemon 15+ levels above you. Some hacks are fantastic. Pokemon Prism for example is probably way higher quality than any of the official pokemon games. And it's a custom made gen 2 game. But i'm glad to hear you adjusted to this forum. I sort of use it as escapism. I understand what you mean about some communities being unpleasant. Pokemon Showdown has one of the most horrible communities I've ever seen.

Fallout 3 hit me much more personally, since that game is literally based on the area I live. There were even a couple exact landmarks and a few buildings I recognized. The game also has a darker atmosphere, since it's not a desert. That entire providence has been failing to rebuild, so the ruins of the cities are still all over the place, and the remaining settlements are poorly constructed.

There was a fun novelty with playing the real NES, but I ended up going back to virtual console. Most of the cartridges needed cleaned since they had been collecting dust for 30 years. It's more convenient just having everything on one system. Mario Kart 8 is fun, and I just hit 5,000 VR online. Ever since I was 7 years old, I've been playing Toad and Toadette in every mario game it lets me. I think the characters are cute, and I ended up with a weird affinity and almost play them exclusively, no matter which game. Mario Kart 8 has a huge roster so I've been branching out slightly, but end up switching back to Toadette. I've been playing those characters so long, if I pick someone else the other person will usually be surprised and say something. Do you have a favorite track? I really like Mount Wario. Zelda NES was an okay experience. It gets pretty cryptic later on, so for the last couple hours I ended up using a guide. Hints are scarce, and you have to decipher them because everyone speaks in vague riddles.

Oh okay just making sure. My sleep schedule is all over the place. Before covid I was awake at 6:00 AM to get ready for classes. Now my classes are online and don't start until 11:30 AM. I was also prescribed an escitalopram, so at night I get these random bursts of energy. Leads me into trying to stay occupied, most of the time I just browse here or youtube.
Shadowshot has the most utility out of all the Hunter subclasses, it's really neat for PvE.

It can be very complex indeed, but it can also be explained very simply... at least Pendulums are less relevant now haha
I actually didn't mind Shulk being stuck with the Monado. It's fun being able to deal with mechon where the other weapons struggle. Out of curiosity, how did you manage healing with the party you mentioned? I usually set up red arts and tried to get max chain attacks. (Negating the need to heal). Again, sharla wasn't getting many red arts so she ended up being a hindrance. It was pretty amusing, but at the last fight I won because Riki had 9,999 max health. He was clinging on while the others fell, and ended up winning on his own. What you mentioned is probably my favorite reason for playing RPG's. I like getting new stuff and the feeling of progression. Pokemon is a great one for that, because you can always find new team members and they constantly learn new moves.

I agree about it being less chaotic, and it's also extremely well moderated. Was there anything in particular that inspired you to join? I can't recall how I ended up on here. I think I recall using pokecommunity years earlier to download rom hacks, and remembered it had other forums as a part of it. I like all the variety in the sections. There was a section exclusively for serious topics, but it closed. I miss browsing it.

That's a great idea and I didn't think of running a melee character. Fallout 3 is abundant with ammo everywhere, so I came into New Vegas thinking ammo wouldn't be a problem at all. Next time I might try that out. I hadn't found any companions. I found it difficult to venture out in this game because of the tough enemies. (cazadors, death claws, etc). Related to new vegas, how did you deal with the Benny situation? I left him alone, but never played far enough after that to find out what happened. I was worried about attacking him in the casino, because they take your weapons and he was surrounded by guards.

I loved Mega Man. I finished 1, 2, and 3 but never played the ones after that. I have a sibling who is much older than me, he was an 80's child and so we have an NES in storage. It allowed me to try a ton of vintage games. I even finished the original Legend of Zelda. As far as Kirby goes, my favorite is Kirby Superstar Ultra for DS. As far as video games go, i've played Mario Kart 8 a lot recently. And i'm okay with it, if you want to write about it for an hour I really don't mind.

Hopefully you don't mind that this reply was rather quick. It's 1:00 AM and I haven't fallen asleep, so I figured I would just do it now.
On a more positive note, did you have a favorite talent art? My favorite was Dunban's blossom dance. I could never figure out a preferred party. I found it more fun to just swap everybody around since it helped me build affinity, but for fights I was stuck on I usually went with Shulk/Reyn/Dunban. Xord gave me the most trouble out of any fight. Fallen Arm was also a good area. I love anything tropical, so it was odd that I lost interest with Wind Waker. Also I noticed with Xenoblade 2 the battle system looked way more complex, so I have mixed feelings.

No, I don't think you've gone overboard at all. I've thought you've been an excellent poster and contributor, and since i'm writing to you i'm glad to mention it. I hope you've been enjoying pokecommunity. I like how calm the atmosphere and user-base is.

I thought the game felt sort of difficult. Maybe I built my character wrong. I put a lot into survival and speech. It also feels like I run out of ammo all the time and don't have the money to buy more. Did you try the DLC? In Fallout 3 I had the game of the year edition which came with all the DLC, but for this I would have to make separate purchases.

If you don't mind me asking, I think you mentioned trying platformers. Which ones were they? I've recently tried to get into that genre, and finished Super Mario Bros 3 for NES.
its basically the Arc Staff but with knives haha, think I have some footage lying around... except... its with a bug whoops.

I only really know how to play YGO, my knowledge there is vast :D
Gunslinger has always been my fav Hunter subclass besides D1 Bladedancer

I mainly play the YuGiOh TCG, aswell as a bit of Hearthstone and MtG. I also own Pokemon cards, but never really got into that TCG haha
best thing is that I got it on Hunter instead of Warlock, i decided to dust off ye olde gunslinger and it feels good.
I watched some old clips I had and it feels nostalgic :')

I grind where I can, haven't really been wanting to play anything else, other than perhaps TCG games :P
1230 power atm and got the new exotic too \o/

now to do the dreaded PvP activities, praying I still have some of that skill i used to have in the first game xD
It's okay, I understand not wanting to derail the thread. All of the characters were so likable. I had some trouble playing Sharla, since her talent art did absolutely nothing and it forces you to use it. There were so many areas and parts in the story I liked, the only exception was Tephra Cave since I found that place to be slightly boring. Satorl Marsh, Makna Forest, Eryth Sea all stood out to me. I'm so glad to have played it. There's also Xenoblade 2, but i'm not sure if that's going to be as appealing..so I've been watching some videos instead.

Thank you for sending the friend request. It's nice seeing you around, and you've been a wonderful new user for the forum.

Unrelated, but when you played New Vegas, who did you side with? I probably would have picked the NCR. I was falling in that direction before I quit.
It's definitely a nice skill to have; very insightful! I hope it continues, and that you continue to have many things your way to appreciate.
As to not interrupt the thread, it was very much Brave! Those commercials never leave my head. Great response, by the by! Appreciating what you have, even if there are limitations or shortcomings your way, is a good thing to be able to do!
hahahaha better luck next time :P

its those big plays that keep people guessing, now i just have to not reply
ill just say it here to not fill the thread with a reply and since i guessed yours correctly aswell, I am 24 indeed :P
    yeah it's locked to donators. people donating helps us cover our server costs, so we wanted to give those members a little extra as a thank-you. but honestly I've seen some adorable ones from people that aren't supporters (like yours hnng) and they are really lovely also. I love the art style of the character too <3 ;_;
