I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of Orange Islands being finished as there were around eleven episodes left. I am aware that the game still ends at Shamouti Island and the legendary bird islands.

I believe you get the Hidden Machine for Surf in the city of the fifth gym, Dordoran City. After that, you go east of Amythest City to Crevasse City where the sixth gym is. You'll go to Galena City for the seventh gym and Polaris City for the final gym after visiting Lake Aurora in Route 818...

In the newer version of the game, what can you do after beating the Pokemon League? I know that last time had Faraway Island and Navel Rock, I believe.

Since Arkatoz Island is a prison like area, I have a feeling it has something to do with Hoopa, as Hoopa changes form with a Prison Bottle. Also, I'm guessing that Ovarr Town is a mining town, kind of like Oreburgh City is. I believe the locations chart says Diancie will be found there.

Will Loamas Pasture be explorable before or after you beat the Pokemon League?
