The Tate & Liza Gym battle is an inverse battle, so the type chart is inverted (ie. Water is is effective against Grass, Electric can hit Ground, etc...).

sorry to maybe dissapoint, but according to the 4.0 changelog Mirror Armor was removed in order to make space for some of the new Gen 9 abilities, so its probably not going to return.

Actually, they're talking about Gen 3/4 Sturdy which only worked with OHKO moves instead of being a Focus Sash like in Gen 5 onward. It's basically useless in Gen 3 unless you want to have more battles with OHKO moves.

So, my Riolu isn't evolving even though it has Max Friendship and is very high leveled. Am I doing something wrong?
