I really never found the claims or complaints of "(INSERT GEN) Pokémon dont even look like Pokémon!" even slightly reasonable. Seriously, they're made up cartoon creatures designed by a GameFreak team to be featured as game characters in Pokémon games. That makes them Pokémon.
