No luck with Gmax raids either for me. I hope they eventually let you invite people and remote raid them. I’m also in a small town with few active players, so it’s hard to get a big group together.
I’ve always gone with the water-type starters for the simple reason that blue was always my favorite color, but I did make a few exceptions:
Johto: I love all 3 so much that I can’t actually remember which one I used in Gold
Unova: Snivy (wasn’t sold on Oshawatt at first, but love Snivy’s...
I would be so impatient even though I understand that’s a normal development time 😅
However, I do agree with others that it would be a good opportunity to replay the older games and do the longer completionist tasks in them. If the Pokémon company did ever move to longer dev times, it’d be...
That’s a really cool memento. I don’t know why I’ve never considered picking up Pokémon cards when I travel, but I might start doing that going forward!
For me mostly the games although I’ve been rewatching the first season of the anime and watching some of the newer movies that I missed recently. A part of me wants to get into the TCG, but it seems like it would end up being such a money sink. I love looking at the card designs though!
Makes sense. Do you collect any in other languages? I recently found that I have several German ones in my childhood collection despite never having been to Germany.
I’m pretty excited since it’s the first time shiny Meloetta was released! I do like that there’s a “task” to get it instead of a distribution and that there’s not a deadline. I’m pretty close to having those 3 dexes complete in home, so luckily I don’t think it will be particularly tedious. I...
I prefer having the focus on the new Pokémon. I actually thought it was really cool when Black/White did that 😅 I do like when they make new regional forms or evolutions for the older mons though.
Realistically, I do see the need to include older Pokémon: it probably helps reacquaint older...
I don't really mind them--generally, I like collection tasks that give me a reason to go back to a game even if it is a bit tedious. I do wish they would have more significant stories or be incorporated into the lore a bit more. I think I liked how Sword/Shield did it the most with the dynamax...
I know what you mean. Other than the raids and occasional event outbreaks, there’s not much going on in Scarlet/Violet right now.
It would be neat to shiny hunt them on your own—I bet we’ll be able to in like Gen 11/12 😅
When do you all think the shinies for Miraidon and Koraidon will be released?
I'm hoping soon—late October/November of this year. If so, that would follow both Sword/Shield and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon's pattern of releasing shiny box legendaries around 2 years after the games' release.
Shiny...
That’s interesting! I didn’t realize that those ribbons were also in ORAS. I first tried to get them in BDSP for my Girafarig—it’s not shiny, but it was my favorite playthrough Pokémon. I’ve only gotten the Gorgeous ribbon so far because I still need to grind out the money to get the rest. I...
Probably Medali the most to change tera types for counters to the 7-star tera raids. Wish I frequented the other cities more, so I had a better map of them in my brain. Otherwise, the area I frequent the most is north province area 3 with a ham sandwich for normal encounter power to attract more...
The only using Pokémon caught in the terrarium thing is just for Drayton’s trial, and I *think* it’s only when you’re battling the trainers in his trial, not him himself. But it’s been a bit since I’ve done that, so I could be mistaken.
Trading in those shinies for your team is a fun idea...
