What is there for products of note overtly made/advertised/etc targeting the Crystal version? If an item happens to involve Gold and Silver that's okay as long as Crystal is the center of attention. Examples include strategy guides of course, and GameShark's special edition.

Can Ruby or Sapphire receive Jirachi from both the USA Colosseum bonus disc, and PAL Pokemon Channel? I haven't heard whether they share the same event flag. There's room for hope considering the requirements (Americans IIRC didn't need Hall of Fame entry) and OT names differ. :)

Thanks. Just to see what happens for myself, I can verify in an emulator that trading Mew and Celebi from western games is possible. (tested English Crystal to Korean Gold)

Hmm. I guess my intuition wasn't far off... Well I don't know much in detail about who translated Gold and SIlver or how/why. The actual programming was likely at Game Freak. Without a full Korean subsidiary, Nintendo would've had a business partner help out.

I don't know the language to find much easily. Does anyone have solid info on whether Nintendo distributed Mew and Celebi to Gold and Silver in South Korea? It seems to me like they were unobtainable with a legit Korean nickname this gen...

I didn't mean to go anywhere. But the site had been inaccessible for a while. Maybe the server upgrade hasn't been noticed by my ISP? I finally discovered that setting the hosts file to redirect the site's IP to its URL works. :)

OK. Try the link in that first post above again. I'm testing a different layout. The top navigation bars use more self-explanatory images, less text in HTML tables. Site's main logo isn't as pixelated or in BMP format anymore, and a smaller size background image.

Yep... It's a dramatic improvement over the older version, but still needs work. I don't actually know any HTML coding. And that site has no CSS at all, if that's even useful for what I'm trying to achieve. I'll make this my official layout help thread too. User input is often a good idea.
