Yeah especially fighting in game if your team isn't EV trained or anything too. As everyone else said too Normal and Water are the most common types IMO. Personally I love fighting type pokemon, always interesting to see what mons are on what routes in new games.

I am personally in love with the 3D models! I can't wait to transfer some of my old pokemon to see them in 3D. I think it is one of the best things to happen to pokemon!

I feel like pokemon that need an evolution should get a mega, pokemon that desperately need an evo. Some pokemon could include Dragonite, Raichu, The 2nd Gen starters just to name a few. I do think they will give us more megas though!

I am so excited right now, I was breeding Growlithes again, got the one I needed/wanted and then decided to check the SV list and it matched someone! I am really happy about this! My favorite mon bred first in X and Y about 2 weeks ago, then re bred and now first SV shiny :)

The preferred connection is a Local Area Network, with a not in use wireless. I have done Instacheck on both just LAN and Wireless, if it's saying it can't boot up you may have to restart your PC. If you have any more questions I may be able to help you troubleshoot it

The music this gen was very good to me, I also enjoyed last Gens music, you can tell that they put in the effort on X and Y music and I really have enjoyed it. Route 16 is good

Have you installed this? https://www.winpcap.org/install/ Also making sure your Windows NET frame is 3.5? If you have done that, reset your computer because it may not be updated without a reset that happened on my if I can recall correctly

I personally like how you can see everyone who is online and if they are trading or not without being in a wifi room. That to me is really cool! I love trading thus far in X and Y it's revived!
