Piplup did hatch. And he did have Hydro Pump. Very cool, but I may only keep so long until I get Surf. Still reviewing tutor moves and whatnot and deciding on a good moveset to go with for Sp Atk spec.

Also, I agree with you about Luxray. Very cool, but unless he learns Thunder or another TM, his best move is usually the Physcial type Thunder Fang. Maybe I'll go the Raichu route after the Elite 4.

There are better types of Pokemon out there, but I really try to stay away from Legendaries, even for casual offline play. Feels like I'm cheating the game tearing through with Giritina, Dialga, and/or Palkia. Way to easy.

When Piplup hatches, let me know if it kept hydro pump. That would be sick for a starter!

I know you said you were thinking about Raichu, but I gotta put in a vote of confidence for Luxray. Fully evolved and trained it's one of my favorites in Sinnoh. Mine basically carried me in the elite four fights.
