I created my account to hack ROMs, sure. I've still got a long way to go. I'm starting on the storyline, then seeing what I can do myself. I have done a little sprite editing before, messed a little with the pokemon editing tools, but I'm a novice in just about everything. :/

A Who's the Artist thread would be amazing. It would definitely help for something like this. Also, apparently I have to post 15 times before I can link offsite, so I'm waiting to post about it. Glad that posting in the Pixel Art subforum would be okay.

Awww, thanks. I actually know nothing about actual scripting and hacking either, but I'm open to learning and there are several tools that look pretty easy to learn. It'll be down to the actual scripting and art where I'll need to recruit some help. :/ I know nothing about it either...

Thanks for the answer. Another question for you guys, then: Which seems to be the preferred method of Pokemon Fangame making? ROM Hacking or some other form of game creation (i.e. RPG Maker or GameMaker)? By this I mean which do people prefer to play.
