I've beaten Pokemon Red over 400 times, but that's because I do speedruns of the game. I've put in over 200 hours so not quite as much as I've spent in competitive battles with X/Y, but still I love replaying Red. There's so much nostalgia in Kanto for me, just walking through Viridian Forest...

I personally really like Generation VII. The characters are the biggest pull for me, I really enjoy Lillie and Gladion and find them more engaging than most Pokemon characters. The Alola region felt very real and connected, I enjoyed the silly culture the place had. The trials were hit or miss...

Lance has Aerodactyl and Gyarados, both of which have Megas. So I don't see a problem there at all actually.

I'm really hoping these Ultra Beasts are bosses with giant HP pools. Would be nice to need good starts to win.

I was scared when I heard about weather nerfs cus I always play Rain Dance teams. But I have never used a Poke'mon with drizzle. So it does't really effect me.
