I would not remove Ash immediately but I would like to see him develop as a character. Have him age and actually learn and become better from each region so that one day we can have a successor to try and follow Ash in becoming better.

A bit late to the thread but after reading the first couple pages we all know Ash is going nowhere. He has stayed ten/eleven for years and will likely for years to come because making him a dynamic aging character would make him irrelevant. Even if he were to be replaced as mentioned before...

Personally I feel that if they were to make a sequel the gameplay would have to be more dynamic and with new functions such at light advantages and possibly a free roam with interaction as apposed to the traditional drive by and snap as before.
