I never really thought about it since I usually go for which character design I like best, but I have only played my own gender a couple of times. The only two I usually use the girl character is the D/P and FR/LG series. I actually should of had one in HG/SS but I couldn't let go of Gold, haha.

In Firered/Leafgreen, I usually always choose Bulbasaur. (Refuse to evolve the cute lil' guy) In Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire, my favorite would probably be Torchic, but I switch around starters sometimes.

If I had to choose, I'd most likely pick Latias. Unfortunately I hadn't had a chance to catch her yet on any of my files, but I always loved the design of both of those dragons. Easily one of my top favorite legendaries.
