Hello, if i recall u r a mod of the tournaments section, and i was wondering if i could start a regular tournament, seeing how i havent seen one forever on here.

I'll try (once more) to figure out the rating thing. It either comes off as asking too much of raters, insulting their intelligence by asking not so much of them, or comes off as propaganda for the whole "let's be nice!" thing. I've been away from it for a looooooong time though, so I think I can probably succeed this time!

random note: i was always under the assumption that the early decision deadline for my first choice school was November 1 but it's actually November 15. In other words, I've got more like three weeks. If there is anything you want to set in motion before early November when things will pick up again (I'll have to do other supplements in case I get denied early decision), now would be the time for me...or sometime soon, at least. I don't know what you have in mind and "my idea" (it's not really anything new lol) for clans got like one reply in the improvement thread so yeahhhhhh.

I'm finally at a point where I'm not so busy - my national merit stuff is done, my college essay is mostly done, and I only have one standardized test left which I'm not too worried about. It will pick up in about a week when I have to write a few supplements (including essays x_x) but once I send my application, I'm (finally) free to go. We can do Dip now though...well, once we get another player.

random: don't know if you think this is a good or terrible idea, but I really want to clear the air with the D_A situation. Obviously it's still something people think about and I think that a simple presentation of the facts of what happened and nothing more would be beneficial. Either way, CBC as a whole needs to have a common understanding about it and then move on because 1) D_A will be back in less than two months and 2) this constant melancholy about it is not good and is fueling a myth that everything was just a beautiful garden of petals and roses and then his ban knocked us off a cliff...the constant pessimism is frankly unbearable and it's been the main reason that I've flat-out avoided PC over the past few months. I'm busy of course, but PC is supposed to relieve stress, not add onto it. The whole "if D_A comes back everything will be better" is false hope and if anything is ever going to get done we need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves (and him), move on, and actually make some progress. ugh.

is the server down? o_o

I can begin working on our overall compiled battling guide as soon as football gets cleared up in the next few weeks if you haven't already made substantial progress on it.

Also, you're probably tired of hearing this, but sorry for being mostly absent...! I have a lot of stuff done but I still have a lot more to do...aaaaaaa. It has seemed worse than it actually is because I've been sick all week, so...yeah lol. I hope the UU meta is good because that's the one I want to try.

Also, we definitely need someone to play Turkey/play at all. I don't know how everyone else feels about redrawing countries, but we could always do that. I don't care either way - I just want to get it underway. I mostly want to because I need something to motivate me to come on the server...it's not that I don't want to, it's just that I either forget (happens more than you'd think :x) or I feel like I'm in a big hurry and rush too much. So I'd definitely like to get it underway.

Yeah! As long as Diplomacy is going on, I'd still really like to be a part of it. I heard that some people dropped out though. :(

Well, I think you have a great thing going on here. If you have a specific task in mind, please consider me for the job. I'd be happy to help however I can. The CBC deserves it after all! And as a part of this community, I feel obligated to at least tell you that you have my unconditional support. If there's anything I can do beyond that, please let me know.
