Same here. We can only hold a gym for like an hour max before it's taken over by team mystic or instinct. Usually mystic holds the gyms for the longest time. :(

I'm also level 9. There's not much near me so levelling is going pretty slow. i've already seen some gyms with people who are level 18+

Tried it out and I got a pikachu with thunder, so that was pretty cool. I wonder if anyone is experimenting to see if you can get more than just pikachu to appear for a starter.

I think Trainer club account might be US only. I don't have the option for it.

A possible solution is to contact the devs and ask if intel based phones will be supported. Another is to just wait and see if a future update will add it. I'm sorry that it isn't very helpful and that you want to play it right now, but there's not much you can do at the moment.

I wish I knew about this before I started GO. All the blue/yellow gyms near me are either flying or water typed pokemon.

Gyms. Supposedly they also have hidden features. Team Yellow has stronger hatched pokemon, Team Blue has stronger evolved pokemon, and Team Red has better catching or stronger wild pokemon(I can't remember which one)
