It's not about the college's understanding or acceptance. Being in the college or being understood has nothing to do with actual ability, and my dull brain that has sustained 4 years of idiocy will not be competent within the context of the actual college education. I believe I have great potential for language learning and science, but those areas are like dead fingers in my school. The only thing they even pay attention to is mathematics (barely), and social sciences to some degree. No matter how hard the colleges try, they can't wave a wand and bring me up to their level. And the truth is they wouldn't even if they could. Because Reality is a dog-eat-dog world and few people on Earth actually give a damn about your feelings.
Also, it's not fair to good students that total morons happen to make it. In essence, the sole determinant of success is the amount of pity you can get from others--or rather, the amount of controversy that may be spawned from a lack of assistance given.
My point being that my chances of getting anywhere are already too low and the school isn't helping by turning on the cruise control at 10 MPH. -.-
