  • I've some of Tanguy's work, I had never tried to interpret it though. Looking at some of his paintings online right now, I do see the similarities between his work and Dali's. (By the way, have you seen the movie about Dali and Bunuel yet? There's a new one with that Twilight guy in it. I'm a little wary, at the same time very curious.) Wow, Kafka certainly sounds interesting. I like abrupt endings like that, it leaves a distinct eerie resonance.
Sadly, no, but I think someone actually made a movie based on The Metamorphosis called The Metamorphosis, can't put my finger on it though. I'm probably just imagining that, though. After you've seen so many movies, you start to make them up in your head. xD

That always seems to be my problem, over-analyzing, I always expect there to be a meaning behind everything...but I suppose I need to start watching movies with the intent of appreciating the aesthetic values instead of always trying to find the hidden message.
grrr why couldnt hypnosis have missed and let me hit with a nice t-bolt, o well i guess i got that coming to me when you missed with a hypnosis on my banette, only to find out the next turn it has insomnia XD
lol im sad that my muk after 2 curses could only do half your health =(. LoL well it was definatly a fun battle
I like Chagall's color usage; I'm not really enough of a painting connoisseur to actually dislike people like Picasso, haha. I see Chirico's work everywhere, I kid you not. Apparently he was a pretty big influence to film directors Zurlini and Antonioni.

Oh wow, I wasn't aware they were coming out with a musical remake. I don't really know how to react to that, haha. I'm just feeling a little nauseous and confused now...I can't imagine how that will turn out.

Thanks for the suggestion, next time I hit the library Harris will be my first stop -- the only book recommendations I get are for tween series like Twilight. Eeyugh.

I actually don't know who that is, I'll try to check his work out too. It's not so much that I don't like Lynch, I just find him difficult to interpret. I'm also going to try re-watching Lynch's stuff, maybe I can learn to appreciate him. :3

--also, apologies for the late/not-so-in-depth response, I've been experiencing a lot of internet and computer issues =x
Lame! I need new pokes or something -.-
I guess my team just is to weak xP

Got any ideas of what I should switch out and take in? : s
The color scheme combined with that dark and poetic avatar merely caught my eye when I was checking up on the members viewing Team Destiny.
    well what is you're FC? : )

I just tell you not my foult if I get ass wiped and you ain't getting any fun out of it xP
Surely you've heard of Marc Chagall, he did a lot of surreal religious paintings.

Haha, I'd be all for acid/base reactions if I payed attention in class. I enjoy reading, but I'm no lit-buff...I think I could be if I weren't so lazy. =x

Oh my, words cannot describe 8 1/2. To say it's a "masterpiece" is quite an understatement, it is the embodiment of [I want to say] every emotion an artist faces, positively the most brilliant films to ever grace my computer screen. Fellini is the master of conveying and provoking emotion, I honestly think he was the best director of all time. /worship
Jewish by heritage, but his views of God I think would apply to deism.

I wish I was keen on literature, I'd probably be saying the same thing. The most popular sites, like the Colosseum and the Circus Maximus would be pretty cool to see, but I'm sure the list never ends in Italy. Those Roman Empire days were pretty intriguing. I love Rene Magritte! Les Amants is a gorgeous painting, perhaps my favorite of his. There's a ton of historical culture there, especially in the fine arts sector.
Pretty sure the last time I said anything to you was right before I "left" this site. Yeah, that went well, as you can see.

Not sure if you're still active here, or just popping in every so often, but...

    Hey :D

Edit: And just looking though your conversation with "poopnoodle," Einstein was Jewish, but not by conventional means. As far as I can recall, Einstein did not believe in any sort of personal God, nor did he believe in the existence of a human "soul." One could argue that Einstein was a deist (or even a pantheist, for that matter), though his official religion was Judaism.

Annnd...I live up in MA (northeastern United States), and people here tend to be a lot less religious than other parts of the country from what I've heard.
Oh, no, of course not. Einstein was a deist, correct?

I live in the U.S. Christianity is pretty strong here, especially in southern areas. Haha, I think Italy might be the Roman Catholic capitol of the world. Beautiful place, though I've only seen it in pictures. If I knew enough about science, I imagine I'd be heading toward a career in nuclear research myself...CERN is a pretty prestigious organization, I could only dream of being a part of it.
