I had to lol at this, it's pretty much how stupid our grading system is:

Honor: 3.750 – 4.00 GPA
Scholastic: 3.000 – 3.749 GPA
Varsity: 0.00 – 2.999 GPA
That is to say, a small margin is always at the top, and the rest is failure (more or less). While it makes sense, it just looks quite silly.
