  • Noted. You'll be getting a PM in the coming days with more info.
There is no such thing as Japanese, though.

But yes, Julia has aspects of Japanese culture derived from what I've observed in the games. Physical racial attributes such as skin color or 'narrow eyes' are seemingly not present in the games, so I won't be acknowledging them.
They make plenty of sense. o3o

Recall the kimono girls and the building architecture in certain towns in Johto. You can find Japanese culture in Kanto like with the white hand. Team Rocket is not based off the mafia, but rather the Japanese mafia (Yakuza) aaand there are a bunch of other hints I can't recall off the top of my head.

It's unknown to me what Hoenn and Sinnoh are based off of, though Unova seems to be based on the USA. I do not believe Hoenn or Sinnoh are Japan, so despite the fact they're both ambiguously white hey would seem to be a seperate race and culture.

Julia is actually from Kanto too.

We don't get a lot of info on race in pokemon. There's honestly no evidence of physical traits differing between regions, though I can't help but imagine kantonians mocking foreigners who find Lavender Town eerie.

It seems to be very difficult to travel between regions though, so my guess is most people are just in the dark about what other regions are like. Cue curious children.
I'd warn that japanese things that are too japanese for kanto/johto are just going to come off as racist in pokemon. (On account of Japan not, y'know, existing.)

That being said, Kanto and Johto have japanese culture. I think my favorite example of that is the white hand thing in lavender town. Creepy as heck to Americans. Part of paranormal culture in Japan. Possibly eye-roll inducing.
    There is no "Japanese".

Only Kanto and Johto, which are both Japan based. I now need to think of the the adjective form of Kanto.
Oh lawdy. My first thought was that they weren't in Japan. My second thought was that Julia is from the Pokemon equivalent of Japan. (Kanto/Johto)

Where exactly is Kiba from again? o3o
It is--Pokemon Fallout is more hardcore though.

The evil team wants their prisoners alive and well enough to fight after all. There's a heavy emphasis on distrust though, as they reward prisoners for turning on eachother.
Something like that. You take the role of a prisoner. It's a big hit.
Mmmhm. That's next on my priorities list of RPs to post in, right after PTA. But yes, I look forward to this.

I made another RP on another site recently, where Pokemon Trainers are kidnapped by an evil organization and put in a secret facility reminiscent of world war 2 concentration camps.
I see. I see. I'm just thinking of trying to turn use this to build some character development between the two. I think I know how, now.
More of a restraint sort of deal. It would be difficult for her to fight a real threat with Amethyst riding on her shoulders so she tried an alternative tactic.

Also, poor Amethyst. Is it alright if Lucy notices the poor girl's horror? She could notice muscle tension, or something? I don't want her to be oblivious, but hey. |D
Oh dear--Also poor Amethyst. x3 She needs a hug right about now.

    Thoughts from you?
