Oddly enough, once I learned how to take the system apart and put everything back in, I was able to cannibalize parts from other NES systems into mine to keep it running. I replaced the outer top shell of my system with a new one that has its door still attached and it looks better now.
I still have my old Gamecube that I bought used from an independent video game place in 2005. Sadly, I don't play it that much since I got it. Nintendo lacks major third-party support.
