Oddly enough, once I learned how to take the system apart and put everything back in, I was able to cannibalize parts from other NES systems into mine to keep it running. I replaced the outer top shell of my system with a new one that has its door still attached and it looks better now.

I still have my old Gamecube that I bought used from an independent video game place in 2005. Sadly, I don't play it that much since I got it. Nintendo lacks major third-party support.

My NES still works. I think I made entry about it in my disused blog here at PC. I beat that thing so much it should have flatlined and died off. I think I should dust it off and play some old NES games for the first time this year. And make it remind me how old I am.

if you have a facebook page, I check that a lot nowadays. I guess it grew on me.

And what gaming systems were around when I was a kid? The NES, Atari 2600, the Commodore 64. I practically grew up with video games. I remember spending a lot of time on the old Commodore.

Wow. It's been awhile since I was last in here, I guess that's what they call life. Or going to other sites and lurking over there. Right now, I'm been checking out some really old RPG games from systems that were around when I was a kid.

I don't know if we could say our playing is on a competitive level, but he did definitely get better over the years. We used to only be able to play a couple matches before he would give up on me, but now we can play for ages and stay pretty much even. :P

If I make him dinner after working all day, he can clean up after it. :P Besides, I try to do some pre cleaning to make it easy, and he STILL complains about it. >__<

Aww family time. :) I'm glad you enjoyed it! I like having my brother come visit me over here, it's nice to have the extra company plus we always have a good time (except when I make him do the dishes >__>)

Our AC at home is so bad that turning it on causes the electric bill to skyrocket to like, over $500. Sometimes way way over. >__>
