And, of course, I change slowly, over time, so by the time I would notice there was any progress on whatever "goals" I for some reason had, I'd have already given up on them due to boredom and lack of progress.
The only extra-curricular thing I did was choir, which was also a class, so I'm not sure I count it. All that other stuff, all it does is get you too busy to have time to think. All the debates I ever did were in Social Sudies/history classes. But it was good times. Besides, I wouldn't want to be on a team to debate, as you might imagine. ^_~
Well, when you're puninshed for failing when you try your hardest, and are often told by someone that they will do something only for them to continually forget... Well, that doesn't help build trust. Doesn't help when as a little kid you were often misunderstood... And I have at least two friends from when I was in elementary school who just deserted me for different reasons. One because everyone was playing tag, and I couldn't, and the other because two new younger kids moved in nearby, and they could run around outside with her. So yeah. I have trust issues.
^^ You must have a lot of time on your hands to learn to blay so well. Myself I just play to have a good time; there's a blend of serious and casual to how I play that I don't think most people would like. I am, for exemple, serious about finishing my quests; I like to finish the same day, so when I take it, it's because I plan on doing it. But I hate to feel rushed, too, and if you want something doen right sometimes you need to spend a little more time on it.
I don't really remember how I got Perfect World. Otherwise I'd tell you. I played another MMO for a while, but the graphics were cartoony and you were always on the ground. I was stunned by the graphics you can have in PWI, and I love being able to fly (I can't stress that one enough: I love flying). I'm on the only PvP server, because that's the server my brother was on, and he wanted me to play on it too. I don't play that often, though.
Well, it comes back to the balance again. I mean, say, when is it okay to kill someone, for example? My own belief being it is understandable (but still not exactly right) in defense of your own life, or the life of someone you love more than anything, but even at that, you should try to avoid it if it is possible - knocking them unconsious and then getting the heck out of there is preferable. Because otherwise, if you live by self-justification, we would probably all live like animals.
*nods* The past gives us a good idea of what is probable, but it can't prove anything. In essence, nothing can truly be proved, because it's all belief. It's my personal joke on the scientists, that their own method proves that they can have no proof - because, for something to be proven, there has to be only one variable (or whatever it was called again ^^") and the rest have to be constants. But, the human mind is not a constant, thus, there's always two variables in an experiment, thus, there is no proof.
Sorry. I just love showing that science is as much belief as anything else, because scientists have a tendency to overvalue their methods.
It seems pretty obvious that you believe it is entirely possible for there to be other worlds and such out there. So what's your veiw on ESP, psycic powers, that kind of thing? Just curious.
