Kail is called Stalker because he can look at a Pokemon while in the heat of battle and pick out its capabilities in each area, and accordingly come up with strategies that play on as many weaknesses as he can pick out.

Age: (14 to 18) 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: Kail is a tall and lean young man with a strong build. He is a little over six feet tall, easily making him capable of looking over others in a crowd. He has deep blue eyes obscured behind his wavy red hair that covers his eyes in the front and goes to just above his shoulders in the back. He has deep features and tanned skin. His usual outfit consists of a black overcoat with a red outline over a dark blue shirt, complimented by black jeans and occasionally dark sunglasses.
Personality: Kail is an experienced trainer and has been hardened by many of his experiences. He rarely smiles or feels happiness for victory, nor is he usually affected by defeat, not because he doesn't care, but simply because he has become used to it. However, he usually treats his Pokemon with a certain degree of emotion as he realizes each Pokemon he trains is new and doesn't really deserve the emo-treatment. He can stay calm and thoughtful in the worst situations and rarely loses his temper, however due to his experience he does have a tendency to lose his temper if Pokemon are being mistreated. He also is somewhat of a hypocrite in that regard; despite having the ability to stave off a lot of dangers with his intelligence, he usually leaves it to others unless his own Pokemon are in danger because he doesn't like making a spectacle of himself. He also isn't very nice in most regards; he doesn't really take it upon himself to help others unless it's absolutely neccessary and when he does so he makes it clear that he doesn't work in teams. He views Pokemon as the only friends he needs and while he isn't outright rude he is far too polite and pretends to be reserved as to avoid making friends.
History: Kail was born in Twinleaf Town and spent his first ten years of life there until he became old enough to become a Pokemon trainer. Not wasting any time, he decided to leave the Sinnoh region. His parents rejected his decision, but Kail, on approval of Professor Rowan, left on promise of coming back in five years time. In four years, he had gotten eight badges in the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn regions without ever participating in any of their League competitions. He spent the last year of his alloted leaving time training all of his Pokemon and capturing every Pokemon he could, building a repertoire of powerful Pokemon. He returned to the Sinnoh region to angry parents and in apology had all his Pokemon stored at Rowan's lab for when his parents would let him leave for the Sinnoh and Unova competitions. His chance came next year, on his sixteenth birthday. The call for help in the coming threat seemed the perfect opportunity... Or in his case, excuse to leave home and continue adventuring. His parents ruefully accepted his request to go help because they knew he could probably make a difference despite knowing that he was in danger on this journey. However, while Professor Rowan approved of his decision as well, he did not approve of Kail's next decision: Kail wanted to go with only a starter Pokemon from the Sinnoh region. Kail simply said that his Pokemon had earned their rest and that he needed to build a new team if he was going to keep up with the new competition that his enemies were putting up. Rowan accepted this as well, and Kail set off with Chimchar.
