  • INSTINCT

No matter how far we come, no matter how much time goes by, no matter how civilized we think we are there is always a beast inside waiting to come out. Our primal side is what drives us. It guides our basic actions, the ones we must do to survive. What happens when that primal side is the only thing guiding us though? Forget your conscience, your morality, your humanity and what's left? A monster so ancient we have almost forgotten it existed.

That's not what they said when you signed up for this project. Sliph Co. has been working on creating a device to allow everyday people to perfectly understand their pokemon and any pokemon, and now they needed some people to test it. It was good pay and seemed like a simple task, which it was, to start. The device itself could be likened to a large bracelet or bracer, but there was a small interface on it to calibrate the device. The devices, which were nicknamed 'Pokebracers', were capable of holding six pokemon similar to a pokeball, but along with being able to send out the pokemon it would partially combine the pokemon and their trainer on a mental level. The two beings could think as one. That was only the start though.

Three months into testing Sliph Co. upgraded the 'Pokebracers' to combine the trainer and pokemon even further. The trainers would acquire certain traits from the pokemon and even use some of their moves. It was groundbreaking, but also terrifying. There were some moral implications being debated. They were moving into rather dangerous territory here. Still they pressed on. With the 'Pokebracers' fully functional Sliph Co. went into its final stage of development. The 'Pokebracers' were mass produced and stored to prepare for distribution in the future, but these 'Pokebracers' were based on the original model. They couldn't combine people and pokemon on a physical level. In thanks for your assistance in testing you were allowed to keep your special 'Pokebracer'.

There was a catch though. You could only keep it if you challenged the Kanto league. Sliph had already organized it all. The gym leaders and elite four were willing to cooperate with the project, and had set aside a few new rules and standards to fit the new league.

    1. Gyms can be challenged in any order, and their teams will be based on the strength and prowess of the opponent.

    2. Trainers may merge with their pokemon to battle, but only with one of their pokemon per battle for safety reasons.

    3. Trainers can only merge at the point when a pokemon would be sent out, not in the middle of battle.

With your new connection with your pokemon are you ready to take the challenge? Are you willing to trust your instinct and that of your pokemon?

    SU:
    Spoiler:

    Rules:

    1. the obvious forums rules and general manners that go with RPs.

    2. The gyms teams are using the HG SS pokemon, but levels and number of pokemon change based on how strong you are. Ex. To start Brock would have the team he has at the beginning of red version, but if you went to him last he'd have his full team all at raised levels. Also Koga is still the fuchsia gym leader, (he'll use a combination of his league and gym teams) and it's the 1st gen league.

    3. This is 16+ based on violence. I do expect pokemon battles to be a lot more painful, and when you merge with your pokemon I expect to see you feeling about to die when you are unable to battle. The 16+ also carries over to romace which I want to see kept in line by this age you should be mature about that subject. Finally the 16+ is for the moral implications of the messing with nature, and what it will lead to. SPOILERS!

    4. Accuracy. I don't approve of the whole 100% accuracy system so here is the one we will be using:

    Spoiler:

    5. Levels will hopefully be simple to all of you:

    Spoiler:

Gym leaders: (WIP) (Working on base teams first. The top teams are their rematch teams from HG/SS.)

  • This... Looks... Awesome. I'd like to reserve please. I'll have my SU up later.

    Name: Lilac Bergins

    Gender: female

    Age: (15 - 21): 17

Appearance: only your fully human one here. One paragraph physical appearance
and one for clothing please. Pictures are allowed, and you may write out your
    additions to those pictures.

Lilac is a short girl, barely five feet tall. She is very skinny, almost unhealthily so. Her bright hair is a light purple color that is her namesake, and seems to hang off of her head half way down her back. She keeps it tied in a simple ponytail, and when it's down it seems to cover her left eye. Her vivid violet eyes seem to glow in the early morning light. Her tiny, delicate hands look straight and narrow, and she always seems as if she is about to topple over. Her skin is a light pallor, and seems to be thin and weak. She has the general air of one who should be in bed, but her unshakeable will makes her keep going. On occasion, her hands begin to shake wildly, and she can't hold anything or touch anything. She is very frail, and looks like she would snap in half if you hugged her too hard.

Her clothing is very intricately made, special for her. She wears a dress that exposes her left leg from the knee down, but flows all the way to her foot on her right leg. It is a deep purple color, and has several tribal markings on it that appear to be foxes. Under her dress she wears a pair of white tights that match the dress well. Her top is a white blouse with long sleeves. Her Pokebracer is hidden under the sleeve on her left arm, though it occasionally shows when she moves. She ties her hair back with a violet ribbon tied into a bow, and has a small silver ring on her right hand.

Personality: two paragraphs. Using one of your character's quotes earns you a
    cookie.

"I can do this... I WILL do this!"

That phrase sums up Lilac's attitude quite well. Despite being physically frail and extremely timid, she has a deep desire to be the best. She possesses a strong desire to forge ahead, in spite of and because of her illness. She is a very kind person that would go out of her way to help anyone. She is very passive about most things, and not one to raise an arguement. When she has to though, she approachs it with the same resolve and determination, not willing to lose her dream. When she fails at something, she tries not to let it get her upset, but if it was important to her, she'll generally go off on her own to cry for a while.

She is a very naive and trusting person, not having had any contact with anyone that wasn't her parent, a doctor, or her eevees. This has also caused her to become quite shy and withdrawn. She's not good at meeting new people, and is willing to let someone else do all the talking. If you ask her to do something, she'll generally do it for you, though she may raise a few questions herself. She has a desire to become a pokemon breeder, and her goal is supported by her two eevees. She gets along very well with most pokemon, and tries her best to be friendly.

Background: you were before Sliph, why you joined the project, and any other
    important history.

Lilac was born in Saffron City. However, there were complications and she was born dead. Thanks to the skill of the doctors, she was able to be brought back, however she never fully recovered. She lost the use of her legs and becam wheelchair bound. In addition, she developed her frailness and shakes due to the polluted atmosphere in Saffron City. When she was ten, her family moved to Pallet Town, but the damage had been done, and Lilac became bedredden and was slowly losing her life. Desperate to save their daughter, she was given a pair of eevees, a boy and a girl, which were named Esper and Dia respectively. It seemed to help, and she slowly began to recover.

When she was about fifteen, she grew tired of watching her life from a wheelchair, and began to work her legs up, fully supported by her two eevees. Slowly, she gained the ability to walk for the first time in her life. She slowly built up her strength and began to dream again. After all, if she could make herself walk, she could do anything. When she heard about Silph's project, she immediately set out to give it a try. She wanted to understand her pokemon better, and was overjoyed when she could merge with them. While not wanting to battle at all, she wanted to keep her pokebracer, so she began to get ready for her league challenge by returning to Pallet Town and training her two pokemon. Soon enough, she was ready to set out and begin her journey to become a champion and a pokemon breeder.

Fatal Flaw: optional, so long as you reveal it through the RP. Just the
biggest down fall of your character can be anything from a fear to a traumatic
    event that still plagues you.

Lilac is very frail and sickly. She gets hurt and ill, and stays hurt and ill, very easily. Her physical stamina and endurance is a severe liability and slows her down to the extent where she can't even run. She even has seizures often and loses the ability to speak or move for periods on end. She also is very timid and freezes when she is scared enough, and gets scared by many things, like darkness, fighting, people yelling at her, and the like. If this is not enough, I can add more.

Pokemon: (basic or baby pokemon. [Lucario and Togetic are not seen as those.]
    and obviously no legendaries.

    Eevee (Esper)

Lvl: (12- 18) [this affects yours move set and evolution. You can delay
    evolution if you so wish.]

    12

Moves: six moves total. You can start with one egg or tutor move and one
TM/HM move. All the others are based on level.

Tail Whip, Tackle, Helping Hand, Sand Attack, Swift, Double Team

Appearance: normal appearance and what traits you get when you merge.

(This will change when Esper evolves)

Esper appears to be a normal eevee, with bright red eyes. Otherwise, he's completely normal.

Lilac's hair turns brown, and she grows a long, eevee tail. Her body becomes a lot stronger looking, and she becomes tougher. She gains claws and fangs of an eevee, and her eyes turn to Esper's eyes. She also gains the ears of an eevee.

    Personality: couple sentences

Esper is a very calm, and friendly person. He's incredibly nice, and wants to be around people a lot. He is graceful, and often the one that Lilac turns to when she needs to talk. He has a playful side, most often drawn out when Dia is around, and can be a bit of a joker, showing how much he cares for the eevee

    History: a few more sentences.

Esper was born near Pallet Town. He wandered freely until he was caught by a trainer. The trainer wasn't nice and began to ignore Esper unless he needed to battle with him, and Esper abandoned him. He wandered back to Pallet Town and watched Lilac, until he finally allowed her parents to see and catch him. From there, he's been Lilac's closest friend.

Pokemon: (basic or baby pokemon. [Lucario and Togetic are not seen as those.]
    and obviously no legendaries.

    Eevee (Dia)

Lvl: (12- 18) [this affects yours move set and evolution. You can delay
    evolution if you so wish.]

    12

Moves: six moves total. You can start with one egg or tutor move and one
TM/HM move. All the others are based on level.

Tail Whip, Tackle, Helping Hand, Sand Attack, Wish, Protect

Appearance: normal appearance and what traits you get when you merge.

((This will change when Dia eveolves))

Dia is a normal Eevee, except she has green eyes instead of the normal color.

When Lilac merges with Dia, her hair turns brown, and she grows a tail, and her ears turn into eevee ears. Her eyes also turn green and she grows the claws and fangs of an eevee. Her frail body becomes incredibly strong and fast, and she's a lot sturdier than normal.

    Personality: couple sentences

Dia is very shy and a real downer. She cares for Lilac and Esper and would rather die than lose them, so she tends to be a bit over protective of them, when she's not moping. She is really close to Esper, and slowly has been acting a bit more playful and happy with him, though she prefers to be with Lilac at the moment.

    History: a few more sentences.

Dia was born to a pokemon breeder that wanted to seel eevees. She was soon sold to a cruel trainer that would hurt her for no reason, but eventually escaped and wandered to Pallet Town. She was picked up by the Professor, and cared for, soon to be given to Lilac, who she began to bond with.

Also... We start with two pokemon each? That's how many was in the SU. So, I'm assuming that's how many we begin with.

Also... It would be hilarious if everyone named their character a color. It would be like the Manga. x3

  • Done!

    Name: Ariadne Wilson

    Gender: Female

    Age: 15

Appearance: (I have picture but here is the description.)

    Spoiler:

Ariadne is of average height and has pale skin. Her eyes are a light blue in color and she wears a small amount of make-up. Just a little eyeliner around her eyes making them stand out and pale pink lipstick to add some color to her face. Her hair is long and curly and is an aqua blue in color from dying it. Unnoticeable unless you are right in Ariadne's face are the line of freckles going across her cheekbones and the bridge of her nose.

Ariadne dresses in an ankle length black dress. The dress as white short sleeves and a white bow attached to the top of it. Over the dress she wears a white over-skirt that has a white band with a bow on her waist and goes down in a see through lacy pattern of flowers. On her feet she wears a pair of black ballet flats.

Personality: "I won't give up!...I can't give up, people are counting on me"

This is the one thing Ariadne says to herself when things get tough. Ariadne is extremely loyal to her friends and no matter how hard things get she will not give up no matter what. Ariadne believes that it is never to late to help someone and is the kind of person someone can go to when they need advice or encouragement. No matter who it is that comes to her for help there is only one thing that Ariadne will turn away. That is if someone needs help for evil purposes.

Ariadne is sweet and kind and will only harm another living soul if it is to protect those she cares about. She cares deeply about her Pokemon and has a strong bond with them. After having her family abandon her when she was younger she grew up with her Pokemon. They are her family and she always treats them as such.

    Background:

Ariadne was born in Nuvema Town in the Unova Region. She was the oldest of a family that in the future would consist of only boys, and she was unwanted. Her parents didn't want a daughter, they wanted sons to carry on the family name. But they put up with her until she was six years old. A few months after her sixth birthday her parents gave birth to her little brother Raphael. Now that they had a son to carry on the family name they started to ignore Ariadne. Three years later when she turned nine she had two more little brothers and would overhear her parents tell people they only had three little boys.

That year her parents moved away with her brothers Raphael, David, and John leaving Ariadne behind saying they had never wanted her. Lost and alone Ariadne wandered out of Nuvema town and was found by a wild Purrloin. Ariadne befriended the Purrloin after a few days and used a Pokeball she had found on the ground to catch him. Naming him Hajime, meaning beginning as a way of stating her new start in life. When she turned 13 Ariadne earned enough money battling to pay for her to go to the Kanto Region. Upon arriving Ariadne found an abandoned Pikachu and caught it remembering the feelings she had after having been abandoned herself. She named the Pikachu Akira meaning bright. On her 15th birthday Ariadne heard about Silph's project and went for it right away. She was going to prove the family that didn't want her wrong, and become a champion.

    Fatal Flaw:

Ariadne still has fears of being abandoned. She won't talk of her family as it is a very sensitive subject. She may not show it much but her parents not wanting her because she wasn't born a boy really hurt her and it still hurts her to this day.

    Pokemon: Purrloin (Hajime)

    Lvl: 18

Moves: Pursuit, Fury Swipes, Scratch, Shadow Ball, Faint Attack, Growl

Appearance: Hajime is a shiny Purrloin with a scar above his left eye.

When Ariadne and Hajime merge Ariadne's hair turns purple and Hajime's scar forms over her left eye. Her eyes turn black and she grows Purrloin ears and a tail also gaining claws on her hands.

Personality: Hajime is extremely protective of Ariadne and Akira. He is very un-trusting of others until they prove themselves to him. He doesn't take the safety of his 'sisters' lightly.

History: Hajime was born in the wild outside of Nuvema town in the Unova region. Like any other Purrloin he stayed with his mother until he reached a certain age where he went off on his own. At first Hajime was captured by a trainer and severely mistreated which is were he gained the scar over his left eye. Eventually he was released back into the wild were he met Ariadne. He was a little afraid of her at first until he saw how gentle and kind she was, as well as how sad. Now years later he's getting close to evolving and can't wait until he does.

    Pokemon: Pikachu (Akira)

    Lvl: 13

Moves: Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Growl, Thunderbolt, Volt Tackle, Thunder Wave

Appearance: Akira looks like any normal Pikachu. Yellow in color with the brown stripes, red cheeks, black tipped ears and yellow tail with a v-shaped dent in it. The only difference is her eyes are not black but a light purple instead.

When Ariadne and Akira merge Ariadne's eyes turn light purple, her hair turns yellow and she gains the Pikachu's ears and tail.

Personality: Akira is a sweet and gentle Pokemon. She wasn't affected by being left in the Kanto region and was glad that Ariadne found her. She see's Hajime as her big brother and completely adores both him and Ariadne.

History: Akira was born and raised in the Kanto region. She was caught by a trainer and very well cared for all of her life. But eventually her trainer Jared had to move on and he could not take her with him. He released Akira who back then was just called Pikachu and told her to find a good trainer and always remember him. A week later Akira meet Ariadne and joined her family.

  • alright then reserved, and alo since never put up my own character here he is.

TADA! took me long enough considering I wrote the dang RP. note I went a bit overboard with most things. I don't expect you to go this far out of your way in your SU. just make one that covers all the points.

    Name: Seph Orion Tylers
    Gender: male
    Age: 17

    Appearance:

    picture.php

Seph stands around six foot and has a lean build. He has shaggy dark brown hair that falls in jagged angles around his neck and hangs down to his eyebrows. Below his eyebrows are a pair of dark amber-brown eyes that have seen a lot more then most. Seph tries to keep a smirk or smile on his face, but its been rather hard for him the last few years. The claw scars down his back, and bite scar on his right thigh are not even nearly enough to describe what Seph has gone through.

Seph tends to stick with dull and solemn colors these days though he used to be a bit more out going. He wears a few different long sleeve shirts, and a dark red jacket over top. He has a couple of black and navy jeans to wear on his journey, and some good old hiking boots as well. Seph pulls a black and dark red baseball cap on over his mop of hair and slings a good old fashioned backpack over his shoulder. Seph also has a pair of googles he tends to pull on before he merges.

Personality: Seph tries to be a kind and good person, but he often is simply unable to relate to those around him. His life has always been trying, and he has had to sacrifice a lot. He ended up very reserved and in conflict with himself. The entire world around him is so often shut out that Seph is almost not a part of it.

Things aren't always so bad though. When things are going well for a while Seph is able to pick himself up and actually start getting somewhere, but those times are few and far between. Seph tries so hard, and dedicates himself so much that it is a shock to most when they find out how cruel the world has been to him.

"...Everyone knows where I came from, but only I can decide where to go."

"Victory is not found in winning, but in taking on the challenge."

"To lose today is to become stronger for tomarrow."

"I have had alot taken from me, and now I am taking it back."

    (Here's some from Luke)

"If you don't follow your dreams I can't follow mine."

[a real specific one] "Seph... the world is a place of balance. There is so much wonder in it, but much wrong as well. To lead a happy life is not to avoid the wrong, but to make it through it."

"I will always be here, and I will always be with you."

Background: Seph Orion Tylers was born late spring seventeen years ago, the second child of Elizabeth and Michael Tylers. At age two his mother died in a car accident. Another two years later Seph's father lost the ability to use both of his legs during an electrical storm. Only three years his elder Seph's older brother Luke became the man of the house. Luke worked hard to do all the things his dad couldn't do anymore especially for Seph's sake. Luke despite only being seven understood how this world worked. He knew their mother was dead and that their dad was never going to be able to walk again, but Seph needed to be protected from that truth, at least for then.

So Seph grew up with his brother always right beside him. Luke was the driving force of the entire family. He got everyone up in the morning, made breakfast -and the majority of meals-, and got Seph off to school. Luke still attended school until he was of age for pokemon training, but he was never able to travel. He had to take care of Seph and his dad. Over the years Seph's dad was able to return to a much more active life, but was never going to get out of his wheelchair. Luke was happy for the help, but even then he had to do the majority of work. With Seph going into his teens Luke knew that he couldn't protect his little brother forever. Luke knew that the burden he carried could never be given to his brother. Luke insisted that Seph begin practicing with pokemon, and eventually become a real trainer. Seph did so, but he refused to leave home. Being the age he was Seph knew what had happened to his family, and realized that Luke had held that weight on his shoulders for many years. He couldn't let his brother handle that alone, but Luke flat out refused to let Seph remain at home. Luke had given up his chance at becoming a real trainer, so Seph had to be the one to do it.

Seph was reluctant at first, but he eventually admitted he wanted to go and become a trainer. It was something he had always desired, but he never thought he'd get the chance to. Not to mention the bad experience he already had with them.

When Seph was ten he wandered out onto the routes where pokemon and trainers often went. Seph didn't have any pokemon himself, but he wanted to see them up close. What he saw was a lot more up close then he wanted. Some kind of dog pokemon rushed him and dragged him into the forests along the route. Lucky for Seph Luke was never far behind him. Luke ran after his brother and literally wrestled the pokemon away. Seph ran back to the route with Luke right behind him and not too far behind him was the beastly black pokemon. When the thing ran out onto the route a nearby trainer saw the two kids and sent out their own pokemon to fight the thing. Seph didn't remember much more then terror, pure bloody terror.

With that seven years behind him Seph officially set out, and was doing alright for himself. He still was a low level trainer, but he at least was one. When he heard about Sliph Co. and its new project Seph felt it might be just what he needed. Everyone besides his brother and pokemon felt so distant. Being able to finally understand his pokemon fully could give him the support he needed.

Fatal Flaw: Seph has not only felt the loss of his mother, but seen the daily challenges of his disabled father, been attack viciously by a wild pokemon, and only ever been able to find understand in one person. He over all hasn't been able to see good in the world for the majority of his life, and now it makes it so hard for him to try against all the odds to get anywhere in his life.

    Pokemon: Cyndaquil

    Nickname: Raizer

    Lvl: 18

Moves: leer, ember, smokescreen, quick attack, crush claw, dig

Appearance: Raizer has a dark gray top coat, and a darker brown underbelly. The flames on his back also burn blue.
When Seph and Raizer merge blue flames erupt from Seph's back, and Seph loses almost two feet in height. He also gets the long maw of a Cyndaquil, but it's not the best part of the transformation. Seph finally gets paws like that of Cyndaquil complete with the matching claws inside.

Personality: Raizer is rather timid and reserved like Seph. The two feel safe and comfortable around each other. Seph is able to trust and confide in Razier just as much if not more then he could his brother.

History: Seph caught Raizer as his first pokemon. Seph stumbled across the Cyndaquil and they both scared each other. The two ran off in other directions then looped around and both hid behind the same tree. Seeing the other was just as surprised the two calmed down, and laughed for a bit. Raizer seemed to be all alone out here, so Seph brought him home. He got his nickname when Luke said that Seph's new pokemon would end up razing the entire town. Seph just added the I to make it different.

    Pokemon: Hoothoot

    Nickname: Isaac

    Lvl: 15

Moves: tackle, foresight, hypnosis, peck, faint attack, fly

Appearance: deep purple eyes instead of red. When Seph and Isaac merge he gains the large eyes of a Hoothoot as well as the black plume around them. Again Seph loses some height from the merge around two and a half feet. He also grows some feather on his arms, but just enough to get off the ground. Finally he gets Hoothoot talons for feet.

Personality: Isaac is a very attentive pokemon. He never lets anything escape his gaze, but the big problem with that is he is very jumpy. There is never a moment he isn't on watch.

History: There isn't much to tell about Seph and Isaac. Seph woke up one morning with the Hoothoot nestled up in the trees above him. With the Hoothoot being nocturnal Seph caught it off guard with a pokeball and caught it.

  • its looking good you guys. interesting that Lilac has two of the same pokemon. I expect that to surprise most people. honestly very few people I know have doubles of pokemon for actual use.

also I'm just guessing but you're still working on yours sapphire. there is no rush of course.

Nideous here's your cookie! *hands Nideous a giant chocolate chip cookie*

One thing I feel I should warn you both of is that if you hadn't already guessed there are some dark goings ons behind the scenes here. I'm not going to spoil the specifics, but all is not well.

    Finally quick poll here:

do you like the idea that you have to have a fatal flaw and point it out? is it unnecisary? do you do it anyway? does it help? etc?

any ideas good or bad are welcome.

I've personally found it helpful. gives me something to focus on developing other then just my pokemon. makes the person, who in this case plays a much bigger role, have something to challenge them every step of the way. In an RP like this the character you play is going to be tested, and if you are any good at RPing you will be too. there is just something about RPing as some one with this big of a challenge that makes me feel like I'm having that challenge.

  • Can I reserve a spot for this? D:

Also, I think the idea of a fatal flaw is good, but it doesn't need to be pointed out so directly in the SU. Then again, I like implicated things.

  • Well, Lilac is a breeder, and she is an eeveelution trainer. You do the math. She's going to get mpre little eevee's. x3

And the flaw I can take or leave. My characters almost always have a fatal flaw, but I'm not used to pointing it out like that.

  • reserved kiklion.

so for you to it just doesn't seem neccisary to have it pointed out or in the SU since you already do it. do you think it would be better simply to ask people to go for characters with a lot of challenges and difficulty in their lives?

and does anybody know where I can make a big title pic thing?

sapphire your characters is all set. It's nice to know that nature isn't the only cruel thing in the world. one thing i the sliph project happened over a year so if you started it at 15 you'd be 16 now.

I do have one issue with your pokemon, and its one I generally do not have to point out since it is a usually a moral issue for the RPer, but you have two pokemon at the level cap. I won't debate specifics but often out of curtousy people have pokemon at medium levels or one higher and one lower (though nid went with both low which only adds challenge plus they were the same pokemon so there is even more of a challenge. imagine if he had to fight a bunch of fighting types).

having two 18s is quite unbalancing since people can go down to 12. I can understand the idea that your character has lived off of pokemon battles for a while, but Seph has been at it for three years (two at home and 1 traveling), and he only has a 16 and a 14.

If you can give some solid reasons to have two max level pokemon sure, and I really hate myself for pointing this out, but its just a little thing I feel should do automatically.

just honestly think for one second, what if everyone just picked to have all level cap pokemon? everyone just chooses level 18s. it would remove the point of training pokemon.

urgh... curse my endless pokemon pet peevs. Top three being: automatically picking the op option, the TV show and its extreme failures, and everyone hatin' on Gary and ever more so Blue.

  • thanks Saphhire. I guess we're down to waiting for our reserverations. SUs are obviously still open to anyone new, but with the five of us we can start when we all have our characters ready.

  • This is my application. I am wondering though, is the number of 6 moves a maximum or a required thing? The extra info on that seemed somewhat ambiguous about it, but I am guessing it was a maximum. Tell me if I am wrong though.

    Name:
    Nick Wessel

    Gender: male

    Age: 19

    Appearance:
He possesses a lightly tanned skin nearing a mediterranean olive colour. His eyes are a light hazel colour containing specks of grey and green. His dark brown hair is relatively long, at shoulder-length, and skims his eyebrows in the form of unkempt choppy bangs. He has a goatee on his chin which he usually doesn't bother to maintain, so it tends to be a bit tufty. He has a tall, and somewhat slouchy posture. He stands at a height of about 6'1".

He usually wears rather casual clothing. Tan-coloured three-quarter cargo pants, along with a white polo shirt. He wears old black running shoes that have some clear signs of wear and tear, but he still finds them comfortable. Most of the time he prefers wearing his aviator sunglasses. He carries around a black backpack on his journeys.

    Personality:
"Dude, chill out for a minute and live for once."

He has a somewhat laid-back attitude. Tolerant of those around him and friendly to most. He is quite people-oriented, and likes to make friends on his journeys. His procrastinating and sometimes downright forgetful nature means he can and inevitably will do very clumsy things, and he has a hard time keeping something running in an orderly fashion.

He doesn't feel troubled very often untill the very moment even the lightest bit of actual danger sets in. He can be very cowardly sometimes, and would much rather avoid fearful situations than tackle it face to face. When forced into a situation with no way out, he will often panic and try to hastily solve whatever problem at hand without an actual plan in his mind. He sometimes needs to stop for a minute and tell himself to man up before trying something.

    Background:
Nick Wessel was born and raised in Vermillion city to a large family. He had 2 siblings and was the middle child in the household, his older brother, Johnny, having been born 2 years before him, and his younger sister, June, being born 10 years after him. His mother was part of the city's pokémon centre staff. His father was equally busy on working with pokémon as a breeder. Whenever Nick's dad was away to visit other regions, Nick and his older brother Johnny were responsible for taking care for the pokémon. Thusly, Nick grew up working with pokémon and he learned to care for them and show them love and affection. He loved working with them.

On Nick's tenth birthday, his father gave him a present which he'd never forget. When he woke up that morning, he found that his father, who recently returned from a trip to the Hoenn region, had left him a pokémon egg in his room. He was absolutely overjoyed with this gift, his dream of having a pokémon of his own to take care for coming true.

He showed a lot of commitment to taking care of the egg. He'd be carrying it around wherever he went to keep it warm. It soon paid off, as the first cracks began to form, and the egg was already getting close to hatching. Then on one night while he was still awake to care for the egg the egg finally hatched. He was greeted by the newborn Shroomish. He was overjoyed, waking up everyone in the house to tell them the egg finally hatched. Because it was born in the night, he decided to name his Shroomish Alnitak, after the left-most star of the belt of Orion.

He and Alnitak shared a strong bond, he'd still take her with him wherever he went. No matter whether he was going to school or was working together with his brother and father with the other pokémon. Sometimes he'd let Alnitak battle with his older brother's Sentret. This way he developed an interest in becoming a pokémon trainer. However, being short on money himself, he had to find some way of income. He then heard of the project Silph co. worked on and was eager to sign up for it, hoping to get some good pay to fund his journeys. He decided to pack what he needed for his stay in Saffron city and decided to travel there. His father left him a few pokéballs and a note wishing him the best of luck.

On his journey to Saffron city, he had an encounter with a wild Rattata who tried to steal some of the food he had. The Rattata stole his sandwich and tried to make a run for it. When Nick tracked it down, it tried to challenge him with the sandwich as prize. After a battle between the Rattata and Alnitak, the Rattata lost. Nick felt kind of bad for the Rattata and decided to share the food with him anyway. The two became friendly with each other and the Rattata wanted to join him on his journey. Nick accepted it and let him come with him. Because of the strange encounter that they had, he decided to name him Baloney, because that was on the sandwich that Baloney tried to steal. Soon after, he arrived in Saffron city to volunteer for the project of Silph co.

    Fatal Flaw:
When he was of young age, and Alnitak had only just hatched. He decided to take her out to play in the woods. While he was not watching for only a few seconds, Alnitak wandered off. When he realised this he began to panic, in fear of having lost his friend. In response to his calls, he could hear Alnitak calling him back. He tracked her down by going to the source of her sounds and found that Alnitak strayed off into a nest of Kakuna. He silently told Alnitak to not make any sudden move and to come to him nice and easy. But it was too late. He already heard the Beedrill in the distance. He bolted to grab Alnitak and immediately made a run for it, with a horde of angry beedrill trying to protect their nest coming after him. The encounter left him still deathly afraid of Beedrill.

    Pokemon: Shroomish

    Nickname: Alnitak

    Lvl: 15

Moves: Charm, Absorb, Tackle, Stun Spore, Leech Seed

    Appearance:
Alnitak appears like most other Shroomish of her kind. Her top half is tannish-orange coloured with a few green blots, one of which overlaps with her left eye. The traits Nick receives when he merges with Alnitak are the green spots. They appear on the same places on his body as they do for Alnitak. His skin also becomes mushroom-structured like Alnitak's.

    Personality:
Alnitak is quite modest in nature. She sometimes doesn't realise her own power. She's friendly, and quick to get along with the other pokémon at Nick's home.

    History:
Alnitak was left abandoned along a path going through Petalburg woods while she was still an egg. Her parents were unknown to her, nor did she ever know the reason why they abandoned her as an egg. She wouldn't have survived another night if Nick's father didn't notice her and picked up the egg to take it home.

    Pokemon: Rattata

    Nickname: Baloney

    Lvl: 13

Moves: Fury Swipes, Tackle, Tail Whip, Quick Attack, Focus Energy, Bite

    Appearance:
Baloney appears a bit bigger than most Rattata. He has a noticeable cut in his right ear. He has pale purple fur, and a more khaki underside He has a very bushy tail. The traits Nick receives when he merges with Baloney are the tail and ears. His teeth also become rodent-like and he received the whiskers as normal Rattata have them.

    Personality:
He is daring and courageous. He has a very impish and independent personality. However, he respects those who manage to beat him at his games, and sees it as a challenge for him to get revenge sooner or later.

    History:
Baloney was always a loner, he was born far from Route 6, where he was captured by Nick, but travelled a long distance to find a place he could settle in and call his home. He knew his parents for only a short time, before he decided to live independently off the lands. He survived by stealing food from foolish and unwatchful trainers, and so lived like a king.

  • It's not finished yet.... so can you reserve me?

    Name: Leone Ciello
    Gender: Male

    Age: 17

Appearance: Leone is a boy whose height is roughly 1,65 M and he weighs about 50 Kg. He has a very unsually colored hair as it is colored a faint light blue ever since he was born. His light blue hair extends to his shoulder if not tied behind his head. His skin is slightly pale, and if exposed to the sun while wearing a shirt, the difference in the blackened skin and regular skin is very visible. His eye color is light blue. He wears a pair of mittens as his hands get cold easily.
Leone usually wairs his favorite orange-white hoodie, it is mostly white in front and all orange in the back, except for the words "Lion of the Sky" which is written in white. His pants can range anywhere from shorts to jeans depending on the weather and his mood. Happy: anything
    Sad: Black things
    Bored: Grey shorts
He also wears a white hat with black stripes patterned on it. And a ring that glows a luminescent orange if put in the dark.

Personality: Leone is a person whose personality can swing drastically. At one point he can laugh and just the next second he will be mad and enraged about something. He tends to like battles and dive headfirst into, but once he enters battle he changes into a terribly serious person. Most of the time Leone is very reckless and uncalculating, but this doesn't mean he'll jump down the Sky Pillar out of his own will.
Not a lot can unmotivate him when he is motivated to do something, and at the same time, nothing can tell him what to do. If for instance, he was beaten in a fight by a Lucario and it tells him to do something, he won't do it. Leone shows a great amount of aggresion when enraged and can say the most threatening things. He also sticks to his beliefs, only something very urgent can shake him. Though he knows that the world wround him is cruel, he tries to beat it down, he strives to conquer the cruelness and make sure it never affects him or anyone around him. He also has a will of steel, nothing will make him give up an important fight, be it for the better or worse.
".....This world's hardships...... I will beat it down to a pulp!!"
"I shall not... I will not back down!!"
"I shall live as I see fit....."
"If we don't enjoy life, what's the point in living?"

Background: Leone Ciello was born in Verdanturf, Hoenn. Being born in such a secluded palce, he didn't know much about technology, the one thing he did know is how to defend himself from pokemon without hurting them. Verdanturf wasn't a particularly friendly town, at least the pokemon weren't. He was the first and eldest son of G. Antares Ciello and Maryjane Ciello. He never knew what the G. In his father's name meant, never had he heard the "G" part of his father's name mentioned. Many rough things happened at Verdanturf, whether it was an uproar of Whismur's or a single Mightyena causing miscief. But in general, the locals were very friendly and kind and that made life there bearable. Although nobody knew what it stands for, people around the town called him by the nickname "G". His abilities to defend himself was crucial there as many hostile pokemon resided in Verdanturf.
Leone had a younger brother called Nuvola, he was terrible at fighting, and didn't have the heart to harm pokemon. So, most of the time Leone acted as the guardian of his younger brother. Eventually, he reached an age where he wanted to explore the world. He said his greetings to his parents and borther, telling him that moving out of town when he grew up was best for Nuvola as he hated violence.
He left for the nearest city, Mauville. On the way he met with many peculiar pokemon such as the bugs Volbeat and Illumise. He had never saw these before and wondered about them greatly. Mauville was like a city of wonders, so many things seemed weird to Leone. Shortly afterwards he heard that Kanto was a wonderful place to start, but to him it would be just one step of the journey. On the way he caught Growlithe and Zorua who seemed to always be together. He never understood why they called Arcanine a dog, they were lions to him. He named the Zorua Nebbia and the Growlithe Tempesta. Zorua's meaning mist in italian and Growlithe's storm in italian as well. He never thought he'd find a Zorua in Johto or Hoenn though.
He stayed in Kanto for a few years, training and working and working and training. After 7 hard years, he noticed a company called Silph and it's projects, and decided to test it out, Zorua was never a problem communicating with but Growlithe was a huge problem and he wanted to understand them.

Fatal Flaw: Leone can never get himself to go anywhere high. If he goes somewhere high his feet would shiver and he would lose all abilities to fight. His experiences as a child also made him afraid of Mightyena's.

    Pokemon: Zorua

    Nickname: Nebbia

    Lvl: 17

Moves: Dark Pulse, Faint Attack, Hone Claws, Fake Tears, Fury Swipes, Leer

Appearance: Nebbia is a Zorua whose tuft of fur on his forehead looks like a flame, colored orange and red. The fur on his neck is also a lighter shade than normal. Aside from that the only other thing different is eye color, his being orange rather than blue.
If Nebbia merges with Leone, Leone loses a little height and gains a tail. His eye color changes to orange and grows Nebbia's signature orange fur on his forehead, making it look like he has orange flames on his forehead. Leone then grows the fur on Nebbia's neck and gets funny little ears. Starting from his elbow, his whole arm grows black fur. His legs turn into Nebbia's and finally his speed increases a bit.

Personality: Nebbia, is a pokemon who prefers to fight it out with his opponent, despite being rather weak on the physical side. He is a very cheery little fox, and is usually the one encouraging Leone to do something through telepathy. Despite all this he likes to use illusions and turn into other pokemon in battle, and he does this quite often.

History: Nebbia was a Zorua who had been through a lot. He was previously owned by an old trainer who bred him. His mother a Zoroark and his father a Lucario. One day he was told by his parents and trainer to look for himself, as he was old enough now. He travelled far and finallyreached Johto, where he met Growlihe and became companions. After some time, he was captured by Leone.

    Pokemon: Growlithe

    Nickname: Tempesta

    Lvl: 15

Moves: Ember, Overheat, Flare Blitz, Roar, Leer and Bite

Appearance: Tempesta is a Growlithe that has grey and red fur instead of black and orange fur. He also has a scar on his back, a memory of his days travelling. When merged with Leone, Leone's hair turns blonde and a soft heat emanates from him. His skin grows grey and red stripy fur and his legs turn to paws. Leone's hands grow fur. His nails turn into long claws and he grows a long and bushy tail. Blonde hair then grows out of his chest like a Growlithe's.

Personality: Tempesta is a moody Growlithe and likes to constantly attack things, his power is slightly higher than an average Growlithe. Tempesta has a sense of humor that both Leone and Nebbia like.

History: Tempesta, like Nebbia was bred by a trainer, but Tempesta was bred by a trainer who was rougher than Nebbia's, but it suited him fine. Along the years his trainer decided to retire and release his pokemon, Growlithe went with one of his fellow companions. His friend was and old Thyplosion, and they traveled through many places together until one day the Thyplosion passed away of old age. Not long after he befriended Nebbia and they were both caught by Leone.
