Personality: Max is, while not necessarily being shy, has a very low self esteem. He will go out and try to talk to others if the opportunity arises, preferring the comfort of conversation rather than the awkwardness of silence.

However, girls are a different matter. Max isn't good with talking to girls that are his age. In fact, he can hardly talk at all. He becomes very nervous and twitchy, and at times sweaty. Normally when a girl approaches him, he tries to look for a way to disengage from conversation without seeming rude. He has been told on multiple occasions that he was attractive, but he disagrees and therefor normally ignores those comments.

Max is very protective of his family members and friends when they are made. He grew up protecting his little sister as children, and therefor has a large sense of having to protect everyone he cares for. This has gotten him hurt more than once, but he doesn't mind the physical injuries so long as those he tried to protect are safe.

He trains on a regular daily basis, wanting to be as strong and physically fit as he can be. On his off time, after working out, Max enjoys sitting outside and just enjoying nature. If upset, Max will normally walk away from everybody and go somewhere quiet to calm down, so as not to do something stupid.

Max hates, and will never put up with those attacking others for no reason. He can't stand bullying, and won't put up with it. Even if he doesn't know the person being bullied, he will quickly step in to stop, by force if needed. He hates being taunted, and when angered if he doesn't step away and fight can quickly ensue.

He is extremely self conscious about two things: his ears and his tail. He hates how they twitch whenever he becomes nervous, and normally tries to cover his ears with his paws whenever this happens. Also at times, Max will hiss and he becomes embarrassed by this outburst very quickly.

History: Max was born in to a family consisting of his mother, father, older brother, older sister, and his younger sister. His mother and father fought almost constantly while Max grew up, until he turned seven and his father just packed up and left one day. His older siblings were both 16 when their father left, as they were twins.

His older brother, Tyler, dropped out of school and signed up to join the Dark Kingdom's military force, as to help bring money in to help their mother. Max's older sister, Jessica, continued in school but would come home everyday and take care of Max and their younger sister, Lynda, who was three years younger than Max. Jessica would babysit every night so that their mother could go work.

After Max had turned 10 and his older siblings were both 19, his mother and Jessica got in to a huge fight. The fight ended with Jessica moving out, leaving the family and stating that she felt immensely betrayed by Tyler joining their mother's side and not her. Max doesn't remember anything about what happened.

A year went by and not much happened until Tyler was deployed out to the Ice Kingdom for some mission thing (nonviolent). His term was to only be for a few months, but was quickly changed to be a two-year long one. During this time, their mother became very ill, and eventually died.

After she died, Max believed that Tyler would be brought back home to care for them, as all of his grandparents were dead. However, this didn't happen. Max and Lynda slowly but surely slid through the cracks, until they were on the streets and homeless. This left 11 year old Max to care for himself and 8 year old Lynda.

The years drug by as Max dropped out of school and went about working at a gas station, at first only cleaning as he was so young, until he began to fill in to his body and look older, finally working the counter at age 14. His boss quickly became like a father figure to him, taking care of Max and Lynda in anyway he could. However, with three children and a wife of his own, he couldn't take the two orphans in.

During this time, Lynda still went to school, and when Max was 16 and Lynda 13, one of her friends from school had revealed to her parents what the situation was. Not realizing that Lynda had a brother, they offered to let her stay with them and become her guardians. Once they found out Max had entered the equation, however, they revealed that they couldn't afford to care for two teenagers. That was when Max decided to subtract himself from the equation, and his sister entered a healthy life at home again.

Contact with her continued on, as Max continued to walk her to and from school everyday and had his job the rest of the time. His boss was able to allow him to use one of the back rooms of the gas station as a sort of home, and everything seemed to be looking up by at least a fraction when Max received the news one day that the Queen wished to speak with him.

Personality: Akane is a serious, and lone-wolf type. She never relied on anyone else except herself. Akane will usually try to get out of a situation through brute force, but it gets her in trouble more often than out. She is stuborn and headstrong, and slightly arrogant. She never undermines her own strength, and neither overestimate it. She knows when she is beaten, but she wont go down very easy.
History:
Akane grew up in a village in the fighting kingdom. She had no other interests except keeping herself fit. Unlike most girls in her village, Akane was never really interested in boys. She would always get into fights with other males of the village. Females of this village were always seen as house wives, and no female would get as much regard as a male. While growing up, sexism was the one thing which Akane could never stand. Her parents were always kind to her, her Mienshao mother had always tended to her wounds, and her Scrafty father was an outcast Scrafty of the village. One day her mother passed away from a fatal version of Pokerus, her mothers dying wish, was that Akane would get into less fights. Akane promised her that she wouldn't get into as many fights as she used to, and she has indeed kept that promise. Akane's father was looked down upon the rest of the men of the village, as he had to do house work. Akane's father took up a new branch of work, being bio-chemistry, and moved the family to a larger city. Akane couldn't stand it there, so leaving her father a note, she left home, and has been a nomad ever since. Her father was never sad about this, as he was more then aware that Akane can watched her own back.
