Metal Gear Rising is a action game made by PlatinumGames and the story starts 4 years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4.

This game, unlike the other Metal Gear games, is not about stealth, instead its all action-paced.
There's a ton of boss-fights involved with a amazing soundtrack for each boss.
What are your experiences with the game? Which boss-fight did you find the most challenging/difficult? Did you use any of the bonus swords?

    RULES OF NATURE

And they run when the sun comes up
With their lives on the line
    (Alive)
    For a while
    (No choice)
Gotta follow the laws of the wild
    (Alive)
With their lives on the line
    (No choice)
Out here only the strong survive

    What's done is done
    Survived to see another day
    The dance of life
The hunter and the agile prey
    No guarantee
Of which of them will succeed
    Strong or weak

Best OST. Best boss fights. This game is great and everyone should play it.

I havent fought all bosses yet, since im about to get the game and i only played a few hours at a friends house, but i.. i just adore this game. Its really challenging and every boss fight is pretty unique in its own way (only fought Mistral and Monsoon myself)

Hooo boy wait until the Jetstream Sam boss and the final boss.

The game gets even BETTER. Although to be honest Monsoon is still the highlight for me. (STAINS OF TIME)

As someone who played MGS since the PS1 era, I have to say that I loved this take on the Metal Gear franchise. It still has some stealth gameplay, but I love the action parts, especially the, obviously, boss battles. An the OST is easily my favorite 2013. OST. Not just the songs themselves, but the directing as well. The song is going slower while battling the boss, only to get more intense as the battle is reaching the climax. Perfect.

Yeah i just bought the game myself and i am so enjoying it... Actually made my PS3 crash once by slicing something into a lot of pieces xD
I have to remember when to parry, as i do it when it notifies me, but then i release the button and get hit xD

I wondered why so many people were talking about this game lately as if it were new, then I realized it only recently got released on PC.

To answer the question I didn't feel like I got my money's worth after I finished it. It's just a generic hack 'n' slasher and it's extremely short. I preferred Raiden in MGS2 in all honesty.

I'm more of an action packed person. I'm too impatient for strategy. I've never played the game, but it sounds like a game that'd be perfect for me. :3

It absolutely is worth the try. If you have a Xbox 360 or a PS3 you could try the demo which lets you play a part of a mission and do a boss battle to make sure you'll love it :3

I actually have a Ps4, will it be released on there?

No it wont, its been released in the beginning of 2013 on console. Maybe they will make it a downloadable game, idk.
Hopefully there will be a sequel to this :3

Doing my third playthrough of the game, this time on Hard! Too bad I still haven't learn how to parry... nor play at all xD At least now I know how to beat Monsoon without spending all my health bars (btw, I really liked the last scene of that battle!)

Also just a small question, what do you all think of some challenge in VG for this game, like for instance beating a boss on S-rank with this weapon and no-upgrades or just beating the game without any upgrades at all.

I really want to get this but can I get the game with English controls just the cutscenes use the japanese VA's? I watched a few LP's and the game looks really nice, I love the OST.

Yes, this is why I want ot play the game. Metal Gear IV on PS3 was fun and held classic Metal Gear, but I'm not a big fan of the "wait for it" stealthy shooters like Metal Gear, Max Payne and Splinter Cell. This game looks more action packed and faster pace, it's really piqued my interest.
